Can we as a community stop voting for flashpoint and spread the news in game so the noobs stop voting for it too. It’s the worst game mode!!! Yesterday I had a match that went 2 minutes into overtime on the first point. They just kept coming! This was quickplay. There is nothing quick about a 24 minute flashpoint game.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game of Flash where Overtime went on for two minutes on the first point.
You know which modes do see twenty-odd minute long matches, though? Escort ones that drag on into round four. So it’s obviously not a sticking point for a lot of people.

No. I hope you only get Flashpoint maps now.
It’s not a bad mode and it’s time to finally realize that. Play different heroes. It won’t ever be the worst mode while Push exists.
And even then, Suravasa and Aatlis are good maps.

The only way I’m not voting for Flashpoint is if there’s a Push map. The only way I’m voting for Hybrid/Escort is if I have no other choice. I play your maps, you play mine, what’s fair is fair. Also I guess you can just leave in QP like a lot of people do…
And you’re lucky you guys yelled loud enough to get rid of Clash, or I’d be voting for that every time.

It’s funny because the less of a noob you are, the more likely you are to like the mode. The devs even pointed out after a certain rank, FP gets more attention.
So tell the wave of new people/returning people to learn something new today. It’s fun.

I think Flashpoint is the best game mode, speak for yourself. Actually, part of me thinks anyone who prefers Push over Flashpoint must be insane.
And I’ll always vote Flashpoint, no matter how many people are voting King’s Row or Route 66 for the billionth time.

its kinda shocking to me, having a very positive opinion of flashpoint and coming here seeing the sewer mutants complaining about it
they never really seem to say why they hate it so im am fully convinced its another case of mindless hate

I went from: “this is ok. It could be better.” to “okay no one knows how to play this mode so it’s annoying but not because of it.”
Then the reworked maps and Aatlis.
“This mode is great now. I like how it feels like team synergy and knowing the way to use the map makes for a fun mode. It’s a bummer that most players still dislike it because of old mentalities.”

I still don’t like Flashpoint, it feels icky in a way I can’t describe, like a liminal space kind of emptiness especially in 5v5. I know it’s objectively more balanced than asymmetrical maps but subjectively I don’t have fun on Flash

Suravasa clears a lot of Escort maps, Junkertown 2.0 isn’t that bad, and I’m tired of playing Kings Row and Eichenwalde like 40% of the time.
I’ll go even further and say Aatlis isn’t even that bad other than the first point.
I’ll take it over four full rounds of escort in a comp match any day.

Aatlis is miles better than New Junk City. But yeah, Flashpoint is a lot better in its current form.
