They explained that they’re testing a change where when a new round starts it will always select a point adjacent to the previous point, removing the long diagonal walks across the map. This would be a huge change.
I didn’t see where the devs mentioned this, so I’m going to be a pest and ask: any idea if this will be a change that makes it into next season? Because it sounds nice, on the face of it.
The changes to the 2 old maps should come in at mid season. And I think the changes to point choosing should come at the beginning of the season alongside the new map.
They also mentioned the team that loses the first center fight should get the advantage on the second point fight, so it should be one by their spawn. Which is good for both teams because you can guess where the next fight will be alot easier.
They said it’s a work in progress, it wasn’t certain to make it into the game. Tho the map reworks are mid season. My main complaint of flashpoint t was the rng of picking the next point, randomly benefiting the team who just won or lost the last point. No 150m+ walks will be great if implemented.
I’d be very happy if they managed to make me appreciate to play this mod…
I am not sure if this benefits or hurts me. My team is always the stupid one. So… No more getting lost. But also they will probably just accidentally walk into their spawn? I guess it’s pretty much the same.
Basically turning flashpoint into clash.
