Ah, I miss when flashbang was useful, could cancel take a breather. Got a 1000hp tank who you can’t even CC, but he can one shot hook you from 20m on a cooldown half the time of your near useless ability. Do tanks ruin this game, or does Cassidy just need flashbang CC back.
Flashbang doing nothing against Roadhog, absorbing flashbang and 3 fan the hammers with take a breather.
Need a meme of a fat guy absorbing punches.

Just give him old Flashbang with a much shorter stun duration, at like 0.25 seconds.
The crazy thing is that it used to last for 0.8 seconds! How can you look at that number, and not just consider lowering it instead of replacing it?
Also reduce his HP to 250.

flashbang was terrible with anything lower than 0.8, they had it 0.7 and reverted it. It was 0.85 on release.

Maybe terrible for some, but it will still be perfectly functional for ranks that matter.
If it’s still bad somehow, give it a 1 second slow afterwards or something.

The hog rework was terrible. They’ve just been making hog safer and safer as time went on. Anyone remember when hog was high risk high reward instead of low risk medium reward?

As an idea, we could give him unstoppable (like mauga charge) but take away movement while vaping?

Stuns still interrupt it, but the recovery time is very low and he can start vaping again almost immediately.

Stuns don’t counter breather anymore gang lmfao. It’s a resource meter, the cooldown on it is entirely inconsequential.
Also how about this. Old flashbang can exist when the AoE isn’t the size of a newborn star, while providing a near second long stun.

Yeah terrible rework. I dislike resosurce meters in general, imo its better when there is clear window to punish instead of it being something you just need to grind through.

Blizzard insist on balancing that hero to be a fat freak that doesn’t care how much damage he takes.
They cannot conceive of just removing his healing and giving it overhealth instead.
Why should a mitigation ability actually be used for mitigation when we can also make it undo all progress you made so far?
Why should a tank have resources with limitations and weaknesses, when we can just allow one character to be his hard counter?
It does interrupt specifically mobility abilities and then prevents their use. McCrack is meant to counter mobile characters now instead of stunning any and everyone.
I think it’s fine as is. Hinder isn’t as lopsided against immobile characters compared to stuns.

As much as I want old FB back, a 0.25s stun would be nearly useless. It’s sole purpose would be to interrupt channeled abilities, and you’d have to be in fairly dangerous positioning to do so.

Well it’s either that or what? Because .8 second long stun was egregious, especially considering… it requires literally no brain power to get value out of. The AoE is the size of proxima centauri and it sets up a free kill. It turns cass into a “if you come inside this range, you’ll just die!” hero again.
