Reaper is absolutely broken at the moment. I don’t know if it was just a recent bug or something but he’s so insanely popular to play in plat and below because you literally don’t have to aim. You can just hold M1 and run through an entire team unscathed. And that shouldn’t happen. He can literally carry a whole team by himself and I’ve seen it far too many times by now. Please fix it because I’m tired of the enemy team switching to him last minute and winning the game.
His chance for a headshot when he’s actually aiming at your body is too damn high.

Yeah, no he doesnt carry whole teams. He has the exact opposite problem you’re talking about. Whenever someone goes reaper, they’re always yelled at for throwing.

It’s bullet patterns. Any shotgun hero - d.va, reaper, torb - has a random pattern on their pellets. This could, theoretically, lead to all the shots going around the target and doing practically 0 damage, or all the pellets going into one spot and doing a crap ton. TF2 had this for shotguns (scout, engi etc) but they fixed it by disabling the spreads in comp and having the option to in server settings. I feel like overwatch should be the same if they want to be competitively viable. RnG should never be present in any online game where it’s PvP. For AI it doesn’t matter, but for PvP, situations should play out the same no matter what.

Reaper’s crits are calculated specifically, they’re extra rng.
Are you fckng serious? Its the worst thing the character have other than disgusting ability called “shadow step”. His spread so bad that you dont kill the targets you supposed to kill. Rng need fix yes. But whole post completely garbage.

Alright go back to my post, read again and then stop crying like I just said I wanted Reaper to be nerfed into the ground.
It has happened way too many times that a team last second swapped to Reaper to win the point and get it. Especially on 2CP. That’s what I’m complaining about. Nothing else. He can turn up behind you and miss you by a lot and still, you get killed. If I had video evidence right now, I’d pull it out but even then, you wouldn’t believe me.
I didn’t call for nerfs. I want his guns to be fixed so you actually have to aim and shoot where you want to shoot. No hero should be a bs last resort pick like that and it’ll work.
You are completely and utterly deluded if you think Reaper’s guns don’t need aiming. They don’t need aim if you want to deal pellet grazing damage of around 5-6. They need rather intense CQC aiming if you want to score the consistent 140 damage per shot that allows Reaper to even be relevant in any way to the game.

All landing pellets hit critically if the first helmet hits the head, no matter where the others hit.
Shotgun spread has it’s ups and downs, you’re experiencing the ups.
nO HEADSHOT & dps 280->350 can be ok.
Friend, thats is NOT how it works. If pellets hit both the body and head hitbox the shot can be either a crit, or not a crit.
I don’t know the exact numbers, but say 10% of the pellets that land hit the head hitbox. Pellets that land will have a 10% chance to be all crits, and a 90% chance of being all body shots.
It’s part of what makes his guns feel so sloppy to use. You land a solid headshot, but only do body shot damage. You have know way of knowing whether you are going to melt or tickle.
