I have played 2.1 thousand games as of now and i can say with confidence, the matchmaking is not something that is a priority and is something that has reached a point to where this game is not a viable option if i want something with competitive integrity

After thousands of games, i see multiple games every session where the game is a stomp. This has only gotten worse the more i have played.

The matchmaking system needs signficant revision

It’s the momentum of the matches, not so much the matchmaking. You would have to change a lot of core game mechanics to get matches to be close every time. Even top level comp and contenders matches have frequent blowouts.

You’ve also seen plenty of games that seem like a stomp one way, then someone swaps and it becomes a stomp the other way. What should the matchmaker do about that?
