So ships and lore are the only reason I seem enjoyed by this game anymore, so I have one request.
These new Genji x Mercy voicelines in the new season almost made me stop playing marvel rivals and come back but why the heck did you make Mercy say, “we’re still friends aren’t we?”
It makes it sound like she friend zoned him… Look, erasing all their chemistry is something none of us want. She literally asked him to take her out to dinner in OW1 and they did cute Valentine’s chocolate stuff. Please, cmon now.
From Mercy perspectives Genji basically ghosted her. She was genuinely worried about their friendship and was seeking for reassurance. Which Genji gave in a very poetic way.
Also, its not like Mercy could say “We are still (something else) aren’t we?”, since they never became an official couple or something.
Mercy x genji is gross. He is just a loser with a deformed body and she is a 10/10 and a world famous doctor. Stop trying to make it happen. She is not flirting with him or in love with him, just following the hypocratic oath

God no not in a million years, you have people who rot on twitter who like that ship then people who actually care about the lore. Doesn’t help that the last writer had such a unhealthy obsession with Pharmercy. From the looks of it Gency is resurging and that twitter ship can finally die.
See if I was the game developer mercy will always stay single while flirting with both pharah and genji and hinting at both from time to time along with skins sales.
They could always try throuples, though i expect with genji it’s more likely to end up like this

And Michael Chu is the og lead writer. I always found it disrespectful that OW2 writers (a they/them person, later a pick me boy) didn’t continue that arc and instead made a hard pivot to pharmercy, which means Gency would be canon if those two weren’t pharmercy fans.
I think they both got fired though , which might be why we’re seeing a bit more gency interaction again.
She is fine with any ships. When she met S76 VA, she mentioned “Team mom and dad” thing.
He wasn’t. Chris Metzen set everything up, but he retired because he wanted to spend time with his family.
When OW1 came out, there’s a graphic novel cooked and ready but it was cancelled and then the lore began with the retcons.
It’s even more creepy how Mercy is touching Torbjorn.
