First of all, english is not my first language, so apologize if this post ended up confusing to some of you.
I’m glad that Blizz adding OW credits to the BP and reducing OW1 skins price and the ability to purchase it with credits. I said before couple times in this forum that adding a freemium currency that can be used to purchase select cosmetics will help retain the F2P playerbase and important in F2P game.
But today i saw that there is a lot of confusion about this credits and purchasing old skins in hero gallery with credits.
Most people didn’t know that the ability to purchase cosmetics with credits will only open when you have enough amount of credits in your inventory to make that purchases, example, if you only have 200 OW credits (like me), when you try to buy legendary skins in the hero gallery, the option to buy with credits is not there, but if you try it in spray which only need 25 credits, the option is there.
This system need more clarity, so i propose 3 fixes :
-
Display all currency in the hero gallery (maybe you don’t need owl coins to be displayed in the hero gallery), by displaying all currency, players especially the new ones will at least know that there are different currencies.
-
Always show the ability to purchase with credits even when you didn’t have enough credits to buy the items. For the new OW2 store skins that aren’t purchasable with credits (yet), you can still add the option but greyed it out and add text “unavailable to purchase with credits”.
-
Change the credits icon in the BP to white instead of gold/yellow, this cause unnecessary confusion because some players thought they’re getting the coins (premium currency) and not the credits (freemium currency) and then get mad when they saw their coins value didn’t increase.
That’s all for now, thank you.
