This has been an issue plaguing me since open beta. It has followed across a new system, a subsequent Windows install, and new keyboard & mouse. Therefore I conclude it was an issue with OverWatch itself, or some sort of config file lost in backed up documents.
Even on the new Fourms, I was unable to find a thread that clearly address this issue. And I stumbled across a fix so, I’m posting here for the benefit of the community. Hopefully this helps…
Symptoms include:
Having your key board settings randomly revert at the start of a game. Then fixing itself on the next.
Finding yourself unable to interact with a teleport during skirmish, even thought you set the key.
Being caught in the chat window or emote menu, but unable to exit or make a selection.
So, the next time you notice your keybinds are off, immediately go into your settings. Select your hero from the drop down and you’ll find button at the top: Delete Override. You will have to reconfigure any custom settings from scratch, but at least is seems to have brought the eternal conflict to an end.
