We had 8 on King’s Row and got to play Busan with 1 pick instead.
It really hurts the soul.

Yeah I had that too. Everyone voting for Gibraltar or Rialto and the map with one pick gets chosen. Kinda defeats the purpose of map voting. If Blizzard wants to force maps the community does not like then do not give us a voting system.

It just seems too random. This happened 2 times in 3 games I played. Make it so that each map needs at minimum 3 votes to run for selection. I know one single person ruining the fun of the rest of the lobby is common place in OW, but we don’t need it to be worse.

I disagree with that. If they’re gonna have map voting, this is the way it should be done IMO, as long as it’s a fair spin of the wheel.
Of course there will be times when 9-1 shots happen. I think it’s good that the person who voted for Busan had a chance for it to come up, cos 9 times out of 10, it would have gone the other way and you wouldn’t be here moaning.

My first game I got survasa with 1 vote and later got paraiso with 1 vote.
We even got such a bad selection of maps that in 1 game 10 voted for Antarctic and 0 for the others

I’ve been stuck in limbo for hte last 10 minutes no joke… Every qp game I start, We get to select screen, 1 person leaves… match resets! I can’t get a game now! This will be used to troll 100%.
I’m usually on board with changes but this for QP was a bad idea…

It should require at least one person on each team to vote for a map for it to be in the running (so a 2 vote minimum with one player from each team required). There is always going to be that one person that votes for the worst map available just to troll everyone else.
It could’ve been worse.
8 votes for midtown and 1 for flashpoint and 1 on the enemy team wanted clash.
Making you get clash for your first game of the season really sours the mood.

Worst thing is when a map gets no votes then last second 1 vote gets moved to it from another map. Definite trolling.
So 1 out of 10 times they are going to make 9 people unhappy? That’s…not good game design, lol.

Now I’d like you to count how many times this happens in overall , meaning the number of matches played where lower votes were picked devided by total number of matches played , idk the exact number but I’m guessing something like this happened once in 10 matches , which is not much but it pertains to the addictive nature of games where they make you an addict through push and pull nature of the dopaminic effect , theres a whole paper on this , kinda why everything in this game is JUST perfect but never up to the mark , it’s all intentional
Of course it is, given that the other 9 out of 10 times they’ll get what they want. Did they not teach statistics when you were in high school?
It also means you never get a situation where it’s a tie and they have to keep repeating the poll until 1 map wins.
