How can MM be this bad? 0 elims for the entire team on defense King’s Row. Orisa just walked through us.
Update: now I just had a game against mercy pocketed Freja who had 3 ults in the first fight!! Ruined the entire game and ended with 2.5x the damage of the next highest player. OW has gone to sh*t.
With this system you have to crank out game after game. Yeah, sure you lost 9, but then you can win 7 or something. A strange coin toss.
yeah queueing up for overwatch is putting money in a slot machine. Get ready for the roulette and just accept that when you’re at the rank you belong in, you will be losing loads and then winning loads, over and over

Been in those kinda games too. It REALLY SUCKS. I just want to cry at the end of those games, they’re absolute fun-sponges 
People put way, way too much credit into the matchmaker, like it’s this mythical being, able to precisely decide the outcome of matches. There’s a myriad of reasons why your team didn’t perform so well. off-game, someone else playing on their account, they didn’t feel so well, whatever.
You can have the exact opposite. Had games where the enemy was favored to win (by the alll-knowing matchmaker) yet my team stomped them into absolute oblivion. There just is no way you can make a precise matchmaker, giving you perfect games. Not without a massacre on matchmaking times. Of course we could make a super complicated matchmaker that calculates stats etc, but that is absurd. I don’t wanna wait half an hour for a “balanced” game. Again, for all the reasons possible. People can just have a horrible game. The enemy team can have a great game. I know people try to funnel their frustration onto… something, but blaming the matchmaker is strange.

ive had this happened heck my skills on the game while not perfect somehow got me flagged as a bot or a cheater temporarily and i appealed it while i may be a bitter person and silenced which got changed to a full fledge battle net ban which i appealed i remainded calm and a little professional and told them i have no idea what is going on, i dont cheat and i know i was silenced on ow2 and i hadnt even played saturday due to an emergency and this was taking a emotional toll i gotten the email saying i had violated the EULA after the stuff had already been overturned. i am working on becoming a better person
Probably some initial poor positioning - that led to your team trickle feeding - and no one tried to group at a decent choke to stop the bleeding.
For those of you that believe match maker can’t be better. Well it can.
It just starts with removing dumb ideas like making online video games free 2 play and charging money to make accounts again.
I mean when we have tons of level 0 or 1 endorsement accounts being mixed into matches. That is a very tell-tale sign that their match maker is terrible.
Not matching a solo tank against a tank grouped with 2 supports that pocket it so it never dies would be nice. Even solo vs. a tank+support pocket is a massive disadvantage at the rank I play at.
Not sure why they don’t make groups at least match by role on the 2 teams even in QP. That would immediately lead to less stomps in low ranks.

Happens sometimes.
Had a 6v6 earlier with one tank and 3 poorly performing DPS. Tank needed help from another tank. Not a single DPS switched. I would’ve tanked instead, but I knew they wouldn’t go support. We lost.
Next game, the enemy team had that same problem. Amazing.
People will look you dead in the eyes, put their hand on their heart, and swear on their ancestor’s life that this game isn’t abysmal trash and your experience is uncommon…

Not that uncommon as another 9 people in my game experienced it, and I had other games over the weekend with between 0 and 3 elims for a team.
It seems to be getting more common and fun games getting harder to find. Having more sombra than ever hasn’t made things better, that’s for sure.
This is great concern. To anyone defending the MM: It would be great to see your 10 in a row replay codes, screenshotted as a single session. It would be great to see just how consistent the MM is.
