I mean that as a projectile that its speed needs to be increased, it is incredibly bad.
The addition of an extra Firestrike was made due to teams not being grouped up anymore, what this change didnt account for was the enemies being so far away.

I can see what you’re trying to get at but Rein isn’t designed to engage at range. My idea of Firestrike’s purpose is more like when you’re approaching point but the other team is peppering you from a distance. Send em a firestrike. Best part of firestrike is it helps build a ton of ult AND it hits all targets in it’s path, if you’re like you hit like 3 people and that’s 30% ult right there. I really like the addition of a second firestrike. My opinion is it’s really just a deterrent so people don’t just sit and shoot at you comfortably.
I wouldn’t do this. You can take a ton of damage during the fire strike animation, so the last then you want to do is use it while the enemy team is peppering you.
I’ve been trying to combo with it. Like, I’ll smack the enemy tank with my hammer, and then fire strike them to hit him and hopefully the people behind him. You’ll already be taking damage, so the firestrike leaving you open is irrelevant.
You not being able to hit anyone with it doesn’t make it a bad ability.
Wait, wait, so you’d rather use fire strike at the same pace and damage as the hammer swing, and only in the same range as the hammer swing?
Call me crazy for playing a few hundred hours of Reinhardt and disagreeing, but I don’t think that’s what fire strike is for.

No. I just wouldn’t use it at range while the enemy team is already shooting me.

Firestrike is for hitting groups of people. You can be literally touching foreheads with the enemy tank, and using fire strike correctly in that case.
In other words: you’re crazy.
Fair but something I tend to do is wiggle peek (censor is weird) with fire strikes and then I push. Not quite what he said but functionally the same
I don’t think Firestrike needs a projectile speed buff but they definitely need to lower the firestrike’s animation.
Overwatch 2 is very fast paced and it leaves you vulnerable for far too long.
Also they should change its damage back to 100 again so you can shoot junkrat tire’s and traps in 1 shot.
I never understood the reduction from 100 to 90.
Firestrike is a skill shot, it can’t be spammed. At least reward the player with good aim.
I think they added a slight delay between the animation finishing its swing and the firestrike going out. It feels super slow because the fire comes out after the animation finishes.

I think it should be slow, intentionally clunky, but deal a ton of damage. Seems like it fits Reinhardt’s character well. The nerf to 90 is so bizarre, and the extra fire strike doesn’t even make up for it since you need to wait for one strike to be done before you can throw another.
Firestrike is a bit too good, now even moderately good reins can have a shatter every fight.
Assuming this is true, and I don’t think it is just from playing Rein, I think that’s properly balanced.
Poor range, nerfed damage, but good close ranged game and fast Ult charge time? In any other game, that’d just be good character. But we all know Overwatch fans proudly toss away conventional game design sense.
I used to be able to hit the wheel with my firestrike relying only on hearing.
It was an indicator of my skill. Now junk just laughing on me and do boom.
You not being able to hit anyone with it doesn’t make it a bad ability.
I have really good accuracy on firestrike but it really uselless when you use it on 3d location. Percentage hits go down when your enemies on highground or low ground.(and thats a problem, good players always try to use HG). Rein cant do nothing with highground and that his problem.
Needs to go back 90 damage, 95 is still alright, but 100 just damages breakpoints, like where is the teamwork if you can solo players with firestrikes only?
