Finally another DPS!

Just what we needed! Just look at the poor starving DPS role!

The pampered role, every new hero is a DPS.

I wanted her to be an evil Kiri like character but still in support. Still healing, but with curses or whatever. Welp, too bad.

Look at the bright side, it means Sherlock Omnic is a support.

With a Zenyatta face or Ramattra face, because is not a DPS.

Blizzard did state that the role was going to be front loaded this year.

Unlike the past three years with OW2 and there was only one new Damage-role hero. compared to 6 new heroes in the Tank and Support roles.

Damage-role is still the most popular role.

If anything, one legitimate complaint is the number of female characters being introduced into Overwatch. While the game has tried to maintain parity in genders, this past number of new heroes has been disproportionately female. New Overwatch brought in Domina, JPC, and Anran. We’ve had Sierra and now Shion, and the next tank/hero is likely to be D.Mon.

Then last year we had Freja and Vendetta added to the roster.

So in the past 12 months to year, we’ve only had two male characters released.

We’ve known that for a while now. They did release their road map earlier this year.

And also because Shion seems determined to have a human face as compared to most Omnics that has a robo face.

Her being the only outlier is making her stand out.

Support’s day will come… in about 4 months…

Is it pampering if they dipped your beautiful hair in nasty wet garbage water? Is it?!

The only reason so many damage heroes exist is because damage used to be two different roles. Offense and defense. But when they decided to combine the roles, it became one role called damage instead. Which resulted in many heroes occupying that role.

Since OW2 came out we’ve gotten 7 damage heroes. 5 tank heroes. 7 support heroes. Pretty even if you ask me and fair since tank is the least popular role.

i think that OTHER game has more damage too. marvel rivals and even paladins have more dps than support/tank?

or am i wrong?

And Emre is the only male DPS we’ve gotten since the original 2016 launch that is still in the DPS role.

Yep. Doomfist was the last and he jumped to Tank.

This is partly due to how they’re intertwining lore with hero releases now. Story timing is going to take priority over pushing out an even amount of roles in order.

Honestly, after how underwelming Mizuki and Fika have been, I’m happy to wait longer for the other two. Hopefully the extra time leads to more polished kits.

Not only that, but another east asian hero, something that the hero roster desperately needed!

Yall are full of sarcasm, but blizz is gonna use Ai to summarize forum opinions on the next hero and all they’re gonna see is asking for more hitscan and begging for a kit that is extremely annoying and toxic to play against

The order was supposed to be Tank, but then Vendetta came along and then 5 heroes were released at the same time, 1 Tank 2 DPS and 2 sups, then Sierra(dps) came and now another DPS… Blizz really loves Tank players…the role with the fewest problems and complaints and that doesn’t need content…
