Everyone is replaceable for most part, but game does revolve around role numbers at least in role q modes.
Its simply because tank role is now way easier to overpopulate, especially for “new game” where people will want to try out stuff, yet i dont think we should expect like 20 million players filling all roles for OW2 out of blue, seems like it was to little hyped up for that big explosion for the game at start.
Tho i dont think really we get that much, since even new overwatch had lacks in tank numbers from begining to the end, and people prefere to just go dps ninja.

The Old must be replaced w/ the New
Old Game Income Management ideas must evolve w/ the changing Times. As in I do recall Lawsuits being thrown repeatedly at Blizzard for things other than Cassidy Drama when Countries were suing Blizzard over Lootboxes.
It wasn’t working. This will indeed Work cuz it’s a tried & tested method of generating Revenue.
Nor was the Dual Tank method working neither. You alrdy know the Q times & Blizzard is doing absolutely everything imaginable to Eliminate such issues.
Why stay on the forums of a game you dont play? Wouldnt reddit be more suiting?

Good bye and know you are not the only one to be leaving this game, to be closing this chapter to turn a new page. Blizzard gave birth to this game, but for some reason they also abused it until a state were it is literally taking its last breath. Just like you I do not expect OW2 to meet any internal projections and quickly get sidelined until officially axed 2-3 years down the road. A miracle might happen with PvE and save the game, but to be honest I think that part is in complete limbo. They are looking to exit with some profits for now, if they make more, great they might invest a tiny bit to see the outcome, but if it is missed. The call internally will prolly be made within 1 year, official press release 1 year after that.

Other than the replies about how to do math from BIGTIMEREIN, I fee like I read the exact replies in almost the exact order from an older thread about someone leaving the game, from a few weeks ago.
I am going to give the update a chance before I quit, myself. It is too early to call. There is always hope. People here often write me off as a pessimist which makes my sister roll her eyes. She is annoyed by how much faith I have in this game, but I refuse to lie about it as many here do BECAUSE I care. I am not afraid to criticize something I love because I do not want THIS for our game. I wish people were not leaving. But I certainly understand and if the patch is bad, I will be following you, certainly.

The OW dev team has tripled in size to support OW2, actually.
I guess we’re on similar trajectories. Im a lot more pessimistic about the situation, tbh. Ill take a look to see what the grind looks like before deciding anything first though. The unfortunate thing, for me, is that Overwatch is the only FPS game my girlfriend will play. So removing OW from our catalog actually does hurt to some extent. Shes not exactly excited about OW2 either though. She hated 5v5 from the first beta (She does not browse the forum or watch OW youtubers) and isnt happy with BP heroes. Ill see how it goes in a few weeks I guess

Gosh, now that Snikurz is gone all my ow2 hype is gone.
I hate ow2 and always will
