Feminine Heroes...Why Don't You Play Them? Flag by losers

Careful on that slippery slope babe

I went to widow for the booty, stayed for the clips. Turns out I like sniping and French accents.

I feel like this is a weird over-generalization based on absolutely nothing. Really curious as to where this perception is coming from.

I’m a straight 41y/o male and play Widow, Sym, Sombra, and Ashe as my primaries. Echo when I can get away with it. Moira and Ana when I need to support, D.Va when I need to tank. JQ when I can get away with it.

If anything, I tend to lean towards female heroes more than males. Probably has to do with them being more fun or suiting my playstyle more.

Its only a fallacy if the conclusion isn’t already true.

Sounds problematic tbh

Mercy isn’t played because she’s a healbot, nothing to do with the sex of a hero. I love Ashe, Sojourn, Kiriko, Sym is even fun on Control maps.

When the gameplay of mercy and dva are completely different, yet are almost always the most played heroes of female players it becomes a trope based in truth that female players play feminine characters.

I play a lot of competitive and the funny thing about competitive is that nobody is playing the heroes that they want to play so I feel completely out of touch with these demographics of mains.

AKJ? You play Sym? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Sym on Lijiang Tower and Nepal shrine is broken yeah

Hey look we have something in common. Best friends when?

Some people easily understand they are stepping into shoes of someone else and playing a separate character with their own backstory, goals, motivations, personality from your real life self

Others have trouble separating their real life identity from the character they play. These kinda people also call males who play female classes in WoW cringe/weird.

They cannot comprehend someone playing a character and NOT linking or representing their real world self at all.

They can’t understand it’s an escape from who you are and the real world, not a representation of you

I do play all the characters. However mercy is usually not my first pick. Yes I’ve even been treated as female playing mercy & brig.

That being said. Mercy and kiriko are tailored so heavily towards females that the heros are obnoxious. While I don’t mind playing kiriko and mercy they’re annoying only if I pay attention or acknowledge them as even being characters.

Best just to hope for future hero releases that I’ll actually like.

It’s way different comparing WOW where you can choose to be male/ female then Overwatch where you play the hero for their kit not the sex.

Two of the most fun agents in Valorant Fade, Neon both female.

Genshin impact you’d pick a character for their kit/ how strong they’re. Raiden shogun, Nahida, Ayaka, Xiangling.

People don’t play Mercy because she doesn’t get Elims. I don’t personally care about lore you get from twitter post and youtube clips.

Not me casually playing mostly masculine characters like Baptiste, Sigma, Reaper, and Winston when I am not on Moira lol

You’re completely wrong, and this post is PC nonsense. There is a DIRECT correlation to % pick rate and strength of hero. Period. Nothing else matters to anyone but the 1% of snowflakes who want to bring PC politics into this game.

I think there are concerns about hero silhouettes when it comes to femininity vs masculinity. Masculine characters are huge and tall, so they’re more suitable for tank role. I’d love a huge buff male in the support role but I’m not sure how that’d work. Imagine Rein hitbox on a support.

What’s this thread about?

I’m lost.

That’s because of hitbox sizes, supports usually have tiny hitboxes and are hard to hit.
