Female Reinhardt Cosplay - Anyone have suggestions for making the armor?

I’ve been really playing around with the idea of putting together a Reinhardt cosplay for next year’s Blizzcon (or any convention for that matter). I recently delved into a Ciri (from The Witcher) cosplay, and really enjoyed it. I made my own sword and dagger as well. Here’s some examples (I can’t link anymore :frowning: )

But I feel like going from foam swords to foam armor is a HUGE jump in difficulty. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to even begin? Materials, schematics?

If I went with a foam method, I could maybe get some metal wires to create a skeleton, and then work the foam around it. A lot of people go a 3D-printer route, but I do not have access to a 3D-printer. And that doesn’t even remotely graze the difficulty of making a gosh darn HAMMER.

Since I can do the make-up for the scar, I would want to have the helmet off, with a silver/white-side braid (I guess similar to Ana’s).

I appreciate any insight on this, especially from people who do their own DIY crafting.

Thanks!

I love this

I seen this video a while back, and thought doing something like this would be amazing, but challenging.

Thank you!

I will check out this video. That armor looks so difficult. I would not want to do high-heeled shoes, though. And I also prefer to do full-armor, and not a crop-top lol.

Also, thanks for helping with the links.
