[Feedback thread] Juno

Hey guys, let’s compile our feedback for Juno here instead of creating 500 topics talking about different or even same things.

So far for me it’s

  • Visual / Audio feedback from healing teammates is very lackluster
  • Healing a teammate should be easier than shooting an enemy, kinda like Ana
  • Her numbers feel a bit off, including her ult
  • Possibility in the options to swap clicks for rockets, so right click becomes fire and left click cancel. Edit: nvm it’s already possible in the options, it’s under hero & hud now.

So far, it’s pretty easy to heal with her. Admittedly, Pulsar is taking forever to lock-on and heal others.

Usually is for most Supports, sadly.

Haven’t felt that way, yet. But I haven’t had any really good games yet, so hard to say.

Sorry you seem confused, to be clear I’m not asking to discuss my feedback, simply to provide it otherwise it’ll be an endless discussion.

Her right click (lockon ability) needs to apply with the press of right click again, or have the option to change that in the settings. Cancel can/should be escape.

I haven’t had a chance to play her outside of the training area yet, but my first impressions are:
-It really sucks that she can’t crit. Lack of crits makes shooting a lot less satisfying.
-Lack of vertical mobility on her ability doesn’t feel right (I’m aware she has a double jump)

From playing with her as a teammate, her Speed Ring feels underwhelming and her ultimate seems awkward to work with.

There’s an option there. You can switch it. It’s actually a pretty good idea to do this.

You can double Jump then press Shift for her Glide Boost then work your way up a wall to get some height. It’s not really that intuitive, though.

Ult is too bright, you can’t even see enemy players through it.

The homing missiles need a good sound effect on ability activation. It’s too quiet right now.

Qol, flying could be less clunky.

It feels like high noon on right click that does mid damage and burst healing that may not be worth how long it takes to charge considering that burst healing is meant to be quick. Not to mention that by time it locks on people run out of los and it doesn’t attach. I’d be ok with it charging a little faster.

Yeah a cancel is needed because you can click it with 4 people in los and then by time you lock in on the targets only 1 is in los

I’m actually finding that Pulsar operates as a heal over time rather than just a strict burst healing, so pre-healing actually works better than trying to do it in the middle of a fight.

Or using it as an opening salvo.

No, I’ve been around long enough to know that our opinions don’t mean anything to the dev team. We are nothing more than ATM’s to them. Keep buying those BP and skins. That is all they want from you.

I agree the audio feedback when healing teammates could be better, I also am not sure I like how little her glide ability actually lets her jump with her double jump, I feel like it should boost the jump a bit as well. Her missiles also activate really slowly, most maps by the time it locks on it instantly locks off again cause you lose LOS, on teammates and enemies, and there’s no time to lock back on cause it’ll keep happening.

Also there’s a small bug with her glide ability. I use a custom crosshair for my heroes, a small pink heart outline, cause I think it’s funny, but when using Juno’s glide ability it adds an extra pink circle outline crosshair, like it’s doubled up. It doesn’t really affect my gameplay or anything, but I feel like it should be noted.

My feedback so far:

  • Needs better visual/audio feedback when primary fire hits enemies and allies. The current sound is kind of obnoxious and doesn’t feel great or satisfying at all. Maybe make it deeper with more reverb when it successfully heals/damages.
  • Needs more vertical mobility. I suggest giving her Shift ability a directional boost at the start like Echo has
  • Speed ring is cool visually but feels lackluster in how it plays out. I’d suggest giving all nearby allies like half of the speed boost when she places it down without them even having to walk through it, similar to how she gets the speed boost just from placing down the ring
  • Feels contradictory having her ult spawn on top of her. Let her place it like Lifeweaver tree and then have it start moving forward
  • I know her missiles already lock onto allies faster than enemies but I would make it lock onto allies even quicker, like 10-15% quicker. It’s such a gamble to stop healing manually and wait for your missiles to lock onto them
  • Maybe increase the radius of her ult and/or her speed ring
  • Her hero portrait in the hero select screen looks weird with the blue light on her face, it looks like when your teammate is swapping heroes so their portrait turns blue and transparent. Confusing visually.

IMO she is an oppressive hero, but I think the lack of being able to ascend and descend makes her feel a bit clunky.

Her Ult should work like LW’s which you select a spot to place it instead.

Missiles going CD even if you cancel. There is a weird “lag” in the preparation phase of RMB skill, that feels off and I dunno why. Also once you locked on something you cannot change your target. It just locks dead on them and you cannot switch target without having to cancel out. That feels weird too (because I cannot switch to target the other teammate who needs a heal more then my current target). I wish I can toggle that ON OFF.

Very fun hero with a lot of mobility, I really liked the hero, even saying that from what I wrote below it may seem like the opposite, but I really liked it.

Mediblaster

The sound of the weapon for allies is a little confusing, many times my Juno was shooting and the sound seemed like it was the enemy

I would like it to have HS or for the shots to pierce enemies and allies (with reduced damage/healing), even more piercing for the AoE healing aspect

Pulsar Torped0es - is a channeled ability, I would like to be able to shoot when this ability is active.

Martian Overboots - Good skill, good mobility, nice to use.

Glide Boost - Good Mobility and combo with other skills

Hyper Ring - Good ability, I wish it worked differently , maybe we can change the angle and directionnd and instead of only accelerator he van be a a launcher.

Orbital Ray - I’m not a fan of increased damage… I would also like it to be more like Sigma’s ult in the form of activation, I didn’t really like it moving, they need to add an activation confirmation option, it needs a feedback sound effect for June, as this doesn’t create the sensation of effect (an ex when you ult as hanzo you have the sound feedback of the damage)

about numbers I haven’t played enough to know if it’s good or bad
the damage is weird, and against armor it feels weirder

But that being said, I had fun so far I have no idea if she will be good or not, but she is fun

Stairs/Roofs/Ramps can be used to gain more vertical height

She kind of annoys me, feeling pretty cute and might false report her. Tee hee!

I think her flight is a bit too restrictive right now,I think she should atleast be able to double jump out of it if you want to keep it horizontal only.
