I’m trying to explain that actual post limit of 20k hasn’t been reached yet. Scroll bar counts things like all the locks and unlocks of thread.

I think most of this thread is now talk about it being locked.

How much longer are these threads going to stay up lol. I still wonder if they will make a new one when this one hits the limit (if it does).

We have had 2 replies, directly from Jeff, in this and the old Forum. Both were NOT in the Mercy thread (though the 2nd one was later PUT into “Mercy Mega-thread II” by Tom or another Mod). Basically, it boiled down to:

  1. Mercy had the highest pick rate.
  2. She MUST be fine due to high pick rate (then “THEY” Nerfed Mercy 4 more times afterwards for a total of 14 Nerfs).

You ask me, and many people, Mercy hasn’t been “FINE” since before the Rework going Live in PTR. Otherwise there would not be 9 Mega-Threads (starting with the PTR warnings about how strong Mercy would be), numerous individual Mercy complaint threads (locked and referred to Mega-Thread, outright deleted, and/or flagged into oblivion) with the ONLY exception (till recently) being the #1 Mercy player’s thread, with a Grand Total from all threads going over 100,000 posts at this point

Many of these posts have been about changes that COULD work with Mass Rez back as an ultimate:

  1. Cast time on 1 second with Rez occurring after cast (Like one version of pre-release Mercy).
  2. Modified LoS to where it cannot go through walls BUT around such things as signs and payload.
  3. Damage Reduction rather than Invulnerability for Mercy while casting.

Along with many, many, MANY other suggestions.

Unfortunately for them, they are still receiving back lash because Mercy isn’t in a good state which means the blanket statement doesn’t work. I don’t know how they can keep up ignoring her because this is trend they will take on with all the characters they deem “successful” or “balanced” and they will end up pushing their community away because they have gotten too much of a big head.

It won’t matter for them. OWL is only thing that matters.
Even if every single casual player will walk away, as long as someone is watching their streams, Overwatch will be a success.

It’s not about balance or fun, it’s about keeping pro players from leaving, by any means necessary. Even if it means destroying multiple heroes in the process.

Oi, this thread really is never ending eh.

Actually wanted to post, though. I feel mercy should revert back to 60hps or at least 55hps. It felt like the other healer buffs were enough to actually balance the meta out. 50hps mercy makes focusing on healing feel really tedious and slow, especially with tanks. It’s really jarring overall given how the tempo of the rest of her kit (outside of rez) is.

Wonder if Blizzard realize: their meta shifts cause extreme levels of toxicity. We don’t have abundance of players willing to play support as it is, let alone when your hero can get twisted and destroyed at any moment.
