At least mass rez never came back. It was unhealthy for the game.
It really is like that and it doesnāt surprise me that they see that just now, they just never really played her before and had for that no real idea what she can do. unfortunately, they needed her to be OP to see that.
The overall community perception says that Resurrect Mercy was the far healthier thing for the game than Valkyrei Mercy. Also, Mercy has currently no weaknesses and fitās in every comp. She makes other main healers pointles with her utility.
Seems far unhealthier, because that was not the case before her revert. Ana was (and still seems to be) too weak and not fit for the Meta in that time, but all the other sups were equally strong.

Right in the feelingsā¦ For a moment I almost wanted to show my own saved highlights with Mercy despite I made plenty of mistakes in some of themā¦ They were 9, and all of them were before the rework.
Well, she is unskilled now thanks to her ez mode valkirie and her given E rez that forgives bad plays/players. No, she doesnāt need any stupid nerf more because as you should notice, nerfs have solved NOTHING. This design is unbalanceable because itās simply BAD. Mercy needs a new REWORK or a REVERT. That way she will need more skill to be played again and she wonāt dominate the meta anymore. Numbers can back up this. Unless you watch dive meta, but then, the question is: Can Ana aim Genji, Winston and Tracer? And the answer is NO. So, as there were only 4 supports, you either picked Mercy or Zen and Lucio together.
So, instead of ragging all the time and calling for brainless nerfs, please, try to fix what has been broken and remains broken yet. We are suggesting plenty of ways to do so while balancing her properly. So, relax, and try to suggest something realistic.
Can you stop being so hostile all the time? Believe me, itās very difficult to read your load of nonsenses just because you hate a character and its players. Iām sorry, but they are people and they did nothing to you, so donāt insult them, now Iām talking about basic education. Having 0 education is not good in society, you know?
Also, it seems you only look through one personās eyes. Many t500s, players and youtubers are calling for a rework because that way, Mercy would have more skill and the grav + dragon combo would have some counterplay at last. Valkirie was a mistake, and it seems people are starting to realise that, excepting of course, the unconditional haters.
PS.: No more stupid, pointless and futile nerfs. If you canāt balance an unbalanceable design, thatās because the design is flawed and has no placement in the game. Rework her. That simple.
And that guy is talking about Mercy with ez mode valkirie, imagine if she had her mass rez yet and a different E abilityā¦
Mass rez was way better and healthier for the game than valkirie, and the back up for this fact is that original Mercy had that ultimate instead of mass rez and Blizz had to remove it entirely even before gameās release. Then, they had to remove rezās huges slow down and cast time because it was unhealthy and bad design.
Also, t500s, players from all ranks and even youtubers (like YourOverwatch) are calling for mass rez to come back because itās blatlanty obvious atm that the game is worse than back in those days. Now all is reduced to grav + dragon = win OR 6 ults = win. 2CP games are easily won just by playing stupid, and thatās unhealthy. Valkirie drastically reduces Mercy skill, and thatās unhealthy. Thanks to her current design, Mercy has no real weaknesses and is incredibly easy to play, being good in every comp and situation, which is unhealthy.
In conclusion, mass rez was the healthiest design Mercy has ever had and it needed just few QoL changes. This rework is the worst mistake Blizz has ever made, and it has messed the whole game.

It doesnt make for rational feedback.
Like you keep putting out YOUR Salty opinions. GO into any match, ask fellow teammates what they think of Mass Rez as opposed to current Rez. Taking bets that over half of them are gonna say they miss Mass Rez an that current Rez mechanics stink.

It is a fact that they removed Valkyrie before the game came out the first time.
It is a fact that a very big part of the community thinks that Mass Res was healthier/healthier with slight changes.
It is a fact that some YouTubers start to say that Mass Res should come back.
It is a fact that Mercy overshadows the other supportes in every team comp/Meta.
It is a fact that many say that this permanent Mercy meta is very boring/frustrating.
And it is a fact that tonās of players think that Mercy is very boring to play as and with.
Sure, the posts from Lithy are sometimes a bit edged. But these pointās are undeniable facts.
I donāt mean that offensive, but you need to take off these āI like Valkyrieā goggles. There are more than enough evidences that clearly show that Valkyrie, if you like it or not, is a horrible design which impacts the entire game negatively.

To put it simply: if you make most mobile and dedicated healer focus on mobility and healing(as Jeff himself said they want Mercy to), you inevitably make other healers less efficient. Add here resurrect as E ability, which they were told million times canāt be balanced, and you get recipe for disaster that is currently in game.

Sombra getting tweaked/buffed, Torbjƶrn getting his rework done and a new hero is on his way to the PTR. Its not looking good with big Mercy changes right now.
They arenāt salty opinions. Valkirie existed before gameās release and was removed for good because it was bad design, exactly because of the same reasons that people are arguing now. Current rezās mechanic existed right after valkirieās removal and those restrictions were removed for good because they were bad design, exactly for the same reasons that people are arguing now.

Also, it is a fact that people has made neutral polls questioning about the current state of Mercy and a huge majority (70%) of the people who answered prefer mass rez.
Itās a fact too that people, some youtubers included like YourOverwatch, are talking about mass rez being a good counter against the current grav + dragon meta, and saying that current rez seems impossible to balance.
Itās a fact too that people has used the ācuteā spray for baiting the Mercy tophyc in their games without saying their opinion, and the results were a consensus that everyone missed mass rez.
Itās a fact too that no one calls for valk to be used but everyone calls for rez to be used.
Itās a fact too that Mercyās pickrates are out of control since she was reworked, no matter how much Blizz nerf her, nothing works.
Itās a fact too that rez is way more powerful than valkirie, even as it is right now.
Itās a fact too that Mercy is by definition a MOBILE SUPPORT, which is the opposite to what current rez does to her. Thatās a designās contradiction.

Iām sorry, but it doesnāt matter if Iām a bit too passionated sometimes. My points remain. Valkirie is bad design, current rez is bad design, mass rez only needed a few QoL changes. Each day more people are realising that, or thinking that now, suddenly, she is not fine, and sometimes saying that she is op. Funny thing, those who say that last thing are the same that few weeks ago, said that she was fine now.

Exactlyā¦ like as a Healer, Mercy is really strong, there is no denying it. You canāt boost her or she becomes broken and you canāt exactly nerf her or she becomes weak or bland.

I will never understand why Blizzard is already pushing a new hero out ā¦ They struggle with balancing so much, just put out 2 reworks (Hanzo and Sym), then Mercy is still not in an acceptable spot, they plan on buffing/ tweaking/ reworking/ āwhateverā Sombra and Torb, Bastion still needs help apparently and Ana is ā¦ poor Ana ā¦ and and andā¦
But forget all that ā¦ LETāS INTRODUCE A NEW HERO NOW. WONāT MAKE A DIFFERENCE, RIGHT? RIGHT?!

This is also the reason why i say Val is a dead end and the new hero only supports Mercy, after my first impression, again (keeps her meta).
I just played him. He is a s*** ton of fun, like seriously. But his Dmg is just to high with his primary fire and his movementā¦ He is by far the fastest hero in the game.
So what did you do, you deserved to be punished?

to be honest they have to be kidding themselves if they think Hammond is enough to distract us from Mercy XDā¦
like no jokes Mercy changes along has killed my interest in this game as the snowballing of issues is just speeding up.
Heck hour wise my Widowmaker who was 40~50 hours behind Mercy had caught up and is now my 2nd most played hero.
