No because that would be super broken on Mercy. I’m just saying everyone equals out through a mix of damage/ healing or just healing, because Mercy straight up heals and occasionally will put in some damage, whereas Lucio/Zenyatta Heal and do a good amount of Damage.
You keep telling me I’m trying to make a stronger Lucio? He heals himself plus all surrounding allies for approximately 10HP/S and amps to increase it to 30HP/S where Mercy has a single target beam which heals 60HP/S on a single target.
With the ability it would be actually WEAKER than Valkyrie Healing on live. Just need people to actually take the time and read what I wrote. Actually work through everything. Lucios Healing also has a 10M AOE ring from his location so it would be Mercy just giving a 10HP/S stronger healing than Lucios to surrounding allies and a stronger single target beam to a single ally. She is the main healer so I don’t get your point as to why she shouldn’t heal more than Lucio?
Edit: Also sacrifices not healing herself.

Stop referring to her broken rework state. You know the one where it actually made Mercy players who played aggressive with Resurrect 1000 times better without having to do much and people who played passive hide and seek Resurrect were forced to play aggressive and got rewarded for barely doing anything.
P.S. That was a scary time for us all I’d NEVER want that back.

The person I was replying too was talking about Mass Resurrect.
An ultimate that was buffed because it was too weak of an ultimate.

As long as her healing is terrible without the empowered E like Lucio’s is.
This should be fine. We can just move mercy to be a off healer instead of a main healer like Lucio.
I honestly think that single target rez could as well be an ultimate. Especially with Valkyrie stuffed into her kit, which I think is a very cool suggestion.
I still think Lucio should be looked at as well probably his ultimate and maybe his AOE range of healing/speed need a buff. Ana needs her ultimate looked at too.
The problem was they nerfed all of these supports and reworked Mercy without adding additional characters to balance the category out. Especially with the addition of Brigitte and Moira. Now they can properly balance them out and give them strengths and weaknesses. Often times I see myself switching to Moira from Mercy if my team isn’t outputting enough Damage.
Possibly I do like the feeling of Resurrect getting multiple people. Often times when I’m Resurrecting someone I’m like dang I wish I could’ve Resurrected my other ally beside them at the same time. I’d even vouch for maybe a 1.5 second cast time on Resurrect. As long as her base kit is powerful enough to keep her allies alive so she can use Tempo Resurrects often.
As long as I am not slow as hell while casting. That is honestly the biggest annoyance for me.

If she was getting that long of a cast time and wasn’t allowed to use Valkyrie and GA while in the casting animation she shouldn’t be slowed at all. She would just be normal walking speed.
Mercy is main healer. Job to keep the team up and prevent single deaths.
Lucio is a off healer. Job to backup main healer when they are overwhelmed.
Having both in the same kit doesn’t seem what they want the character would have no weakness.
So maybe decreasing her single target beam to 50HP/S again?
Please no. I’ve had to deal with too many reworks already. I’ve been upset with the changes, then happy with the changes, then upset with the changes.
I’ve complained on the forums many times asking for a revert, but I have to say I like the current state Mercy is in.
I don’t want to go through another rework again. She’s fine the way she is.
We can agree to disagree on that one. I think she’s balanced stat wise but Mercy was balanced stat wise before her rework and the basis of “not being fun to play against” was the reason she was reworked so the reason of “not fun to play as” should also be taken into consideration as well.
She has an ability that’s really strong that’s making it hard to buff her ultimate in any way shape or form. With this rework it takes away the power from Valkyrie as an ultimate by decreasing the amount of time spent chain healing/DMB and flying to give back a counterable Resurrect ultimate.

She “was” overpowered. She is balanced now, but not very rewarding. Her ultimate is not as great as it can be. We are not saying “Bring back multi-rez” or “Give her back 2 rezzes during Valk.” Not all Mercy mains don’t understand balancing. We as a community are trying to think of ways to make her slightly a bit more rewarding rather than just a heal-bot, without getting all crazy with her rez.

Honestly, I like this idea. Have one for you to review to see if this would benefit your ideas.
For awhile now, had one idea in the back of my mind that would make things a little interesting.
The healing/damage boost both will have a ‘bar’, the lower the ‘bar’ the lower the effectiveness. You must heal to recharge the damage boost ‘bar’ and damage boost to recharge the healing ‘bar’ to put it back to maximum effectiveness.
For the sake of example:
-Full healing bar = 80 heal p/s
-Half healing bar = 60 heal p/s
-Empty healing bar = 40 heal p/s
Same applies for damage boost, except different values.
What if her healing beam had increased healing, but slowly decayed over time similar to Moira’s healing bar? Instead of it measuring how much healing you have left, it would measure how strong the healing would be. This would also recharge the damage boost bar.
The damage boost would work the same exact way, just in reverse. So whenever you damage boost it would be a large boost to begin with and slowly decaying over time of using it. This would also recharge the healing bar.
Only using ‘bars’ as an example here, I can see this raising the skillcap of her significantly while at the same time making sure players don’t get too bored of just holding down left click. Her kit would be more rounded, having her hold down left click and healing as much as she wants is just absurd (even though I love maining her when I’m trying to relax).
I mean, I hope you guys can see where I’m coming from here. Just an idea though. Love your list <3
