Do you like playing Mercy?

  • No.

Do you like being in a game with a Mercy?

  • She’s no longer an obligatory pick anymore after she was re-tuned. So if the enemy team has a Mercy, our team doesn’t have to switch to one as well. So I’m neutral on her being on my/the enemy team.

Do you like the concept of Mercy?

  • I like her lore with Genji. But that’s about it.

Why/Why not?

  • She’s boring otherwise. Always thought she was even when I maine’d her when I first started playing OW. Her play-style is meh, and her lore lacks.
    Maybe if they reveal more about her other than being what seems to be a goodie-two-shoes Dr. Angela Ziegler (not saying she really is, but that’s the impression I get), she might be a bit more interesting.

I neither dislike or like being in a game with a Mercy. I’m fine with her being in a match and I’m also fine if she’s not in a match.

Initially yes, but not at the moment.

Why/Why not?
I remember the days of the first Mercy and there was room for improvement but instead they went and did a full blown re-work that initially made her OP and now underwhelming and somewhat dull. Her ultimate is currently in a diluted and weakened state (not worthy of being called an ultimate) and her resurrect doesn’t allow her to do anything else for the near two seconds she’s frozen for (e.g. defend herself with the pistol). I’m not happy with how she’s been left and how Mercy players who are unsatisfied with the unfinished re-work are being treated (posts are moved into a megathread that’s not being read based on the read post counts of certain official profiles). The re-work itself doesn’t meet the goals that it originally intended.

Do you like her?: If she said “Hey, let’s head on down to the drug store and share a malted milkshake” I wouldn’t say no.

Do you like playing Mercy?: Not with Valkyrie as her ultimate. It’s a better ultimate than before but the control scheme is a little too complicated for my enjoyment.

Do you like being in a game with a Mercy?: I’ll take any healer I can get on my team.

Do you like the concept of Mercy?: I’d give it a 7. Less interesting then Ana but better than Soldier 76.

I’m having fun as Mercy, no joke.
She is balanced.
I think the only people who want Mercy buffed are people who dropped cause they can’t play an overpowered hero now. :slight_smile: (not true but i think LUL but think about all the mercy mains who dropped a lot of sr after mercy nerf)

Am i the only Mercy player who feels like this?

She was statistically much less powerful with mass rez actually. It’s great if you still enjoy her but really, that nonsense argument against the complaints needs to go away already.

No one is arguing she’s weak or unbalanced. But mass rez was a lot fun IMHO and was more impactful statistically than Valkyrie is. She was F tier before her rework, so it wasn’t a strong ability.

But if you’re having fun, that’s great. :slight_smile:

Mass rez was fun when you weren’t crouching behind a corner, but the more you climbed the more you were encouraged by her kit to do it

Unrelated, how do you feels about the new voicelines? It’s cool to hear more German (before anyone goes “But she’s swiss!!!”, most Swiss people from my understanding speak both Swiss-German and High-German and Mercy speaks High-German in the game) but they just kept changing up her lines. Now her rez and valk lines are different.

Anyone before the rework associated “Helden sterben nicht” wtih rez, but now it’s with spectator mode.

I miss “I will watch over you” TBH. It was way more appropriate. Also, “Your mind is cancer being”. Never failed to be amusing.

With “heroes never die” she sounds somewhat menacing.

You are not the only one and honestly I believe a lot of if not most mercy players agree with you. The problem is this loud forum monority is trying to create a false narrative that mercy is “no fun” her ult is “bad” or other junk they post as if that will make blizzard let them have their way.
