A limited range on Mercy’s mass ressurect would not only be balanced to counterplay. It would be rewarding to the Mercy mains who can pull it off.
Honestly, I was never a fan of being able to res a team through a wall or some huge distance away. It felt cheap and undeserved, so I can see why people who played against that felt a bit annoyed with the enemy mercy seemingly “pulling a res out of thin air”.
A few tweaks like a LOS check in addition to the 1.75 duration before activating (around the same time she finishes her old voiceline anyway) would certainly be a nice compromise with having a multi-man resurrection. Since people are generally used to killing off Mercy with that cast time, it would allow them to not be surprised by a Mercy flying in to pop an “un-counterable res,” giving them time to kill her off, but punishing them if they aren’t using team work / staying as a group. And if it turns out a tad over-tuned, it can easily be fixed - a huge thing to consider vs the cumbersome and clunky Rework we currently have now.
I’m all for this. A good balance for both teams. Let’s see it happen.
