Possibility 1: Blizzard reads a response, and says, “No, we’ve considered that and we’ve decided against it.” Now the forum gets mad because why would Blizzard even take suggestions if they’re just going to say no?
Possibility 2: Blizzard reads a response, and says, “Wow, that sounds interesting. We’ll have to do some internal testing and see if it works.” Now the forum treats that as a promise of how they will change Mercy in the future, and will get mad if it doesn’t happen.
Possibility 3: Blizzard responds to every single post with something vague, like, “We’ve received your feedback, thank you.” The forum now gets mad over a canned answer (because how many different ways can you even say that), and accuses the devs of just saying “yeah, uh-huh, sure” without actually considering the ideas.
Possibility 4: Blizzard only selectively responds to some posts that are substantial and interesting enough to be worth responding to. Now the forum is mad because “MY suggestion didn’t get a reply”.
I have been really sad about the Mercy rework, and I would love to see her finessed to where she is both balanced and fun to play. But I don’t blame the devs for not posting in that megathread. There’s no outcome that involves the forums not getting angry. (Plus they’ve already said that Mercy is not immediately in line for more adjustments)
