Tbh mercy is dead. She isn’t going to get changes any time soon (the community wouldn’t allow a buff or any form of empowerment for mercy) they simply hate her too much.
And for all you people who have the only poor excuse us that she wasn’t fun Tom play against beforehand her rework well I’m sorry but is it fun to play against traver a hero who has the potential to one clip more than half the roster of heroes. Is it fun to play against a person who has an aimbot for a ultimate. No it’s sucks when you literally can’t avoid unless your out of site or behind a meltable barrier.
Mercy pre rework was not fun to play agaisnt as she punished you dps for being obnoxious and piling in ultimates for no reason. I have played mercy countless times during the fight taking part and I was ignored by literally everyone except the enemy mercy. Then I’d literally be stood there and Rez and boom she’s one trick.
Also I agree she isn’t not fun to play as. She is cancerous to play as in her current state. Unbearable. She literally has a dps cant be bothered to walk back don’t worry spawn room is right here in 2 seconds for an ability. She has a let me fly away… oh wait my team don’t care and won’t help me up. Let someone move onto her ultimate shall we. An ultimate where she gets jealous of pharaoh Andy pulls out a watered down cheap version of pharah but wait she’s decided to turn her stick off of power save mode Andy now it chains beams cause why not. Not to mention mercy walks ahem runs fatser in her heels than she can fly in the sky with wings FROM A HIGH FUNCTIONING SCIENTIFIC MACHINE OUTFIT. Oh and the let me get away ability yeah um it’s not worth it just fly awkwardly.
Ah my view on mercy abilities over. Let’s move onto the she has so much counterplay to make it easy to play against her that she is literally the most boring and useless hero almost 24/7. Want to Rez whoops got one clipped by tracer better luck in 30 seconds. Not to mention she has the fluidity of a brick.
Don’t give me the poor excuse but she’s used in OWL. Oh please they’re prolly paid to use her so people can’t complain that even pro players hate her. Oh I mean yeah she said used but what for? Oh nothing just to pocket someone who carries no biggie. Really shows mercy is more fun than before and has way more use…
I get they have other problems but seriously mercy was a small small problem compared to hanzo and symmetra and heroes that needed reworks and changes way more. She got reworked and changed over 6 months because of a rework because Reddit decided let’s just make seagull and taimou crying that mercy had better positioning and could avoid their star dps a hot topic.
Little fact mercy meta wouldn’t of happened if we didnt get a reworked that wasn’t needed when compared to a whole lot more. They spent 6 months changing a hero instead of, dealing with toxicity and bans, making the game smoother experience, hero balancing for heroes that actually needed it.
Tbh I just think they screwed her over cause so many people played her. Now look at her once one the most loved heroes in overwatch to the most hated by all even her playerbase.
No way you’re wondering do I still play mercy? No I do not. I think she’s is garbage. Pure boredom for the time I play her. When’s I do my placements (which comp needs help cause it’s dead) I’m playing who I want Andy what’s will make me enjoy my games. Dps do it so I can too. I’ll play symmetra cause she’s my third maij after mercy Andy her trash rework and sombra and being decent for 2 weeks but got nerfed cause tracer.
I feel I’m asked to swap POLITELY I will swap and play another hero but if they are rude they are Defo getting the silently treatment.
Also any chance you can refund me on my mercy golden gun? I don’t want a golden gun for a hero I deteste more than comp. I got golden gun for mercy 1.0 not mercy 5.2.
