[Feedback] Practice range improvements

The practice range is very limited on what you can do. While the new improvements a while back were definitely a nice touch. I still think there needs to be more. Here are some of my suggestions, and anyone feel free to stick your own in the comments.

Enemy ultimate testing
While you are able to test your own ultimates against the bots, and a stationary enemy. You are unable to be on the receiving end of an ult outside the game. It would be nice to have an option to choose an enemy hero which will deploy their ult against you. Helping you learn various ways to combat them.
(I am unable to insert a link in my post. In the image, I was showing the door on the left-hand side of the target practice range. The door leads to nowhere, and there is no way to see from the outside the dimensions of the room. Allowing the developers to potentially build a room the size they want)

Decrease or remove cooldown timers
Rather, then wait the full countdown timer for a cooldown. Perhaps have an option to decrease the timer by 100x or something. Allowing you to quickly test abilities.

Team switching with your friends
When you and your friends are in the training arena together. It would be cool if you could swap teams. This way you can test various things on each other. I know you can do this in private matches. Although if this was added alongside my previous suggests, it would allow for easier testing of certain abilities.

Damage and health numbers
Adding these elements would make it easy to tell how much damage you are applying. It’s difficult to tell with just a health bar.

Hero targets in the practice range
Rather than shooting the “Bullseye/Robot” targets. On the settings panel it would be cool if you could select hero targets as well. You can’t even add tank bots :frowning:

I hope this post can get enough feedback from the community, which will give us more chance in the dev team seeing it. I believe the practice range is a highly underutilised component of the game. If it was improved with the features I have suggested, and maybe some others as well. This will help players learn new heroes faster, and find any bugs in their kit. Not to mention, it will help new coming players effectively try out new heroes so they feel more confident jumping into a match with them.

Thank you for reading my post everyone. Have a good day

Yes yes yes

Also a way to test enemy abilities and weapons against yourself, not just their ultimates!!

Yh this would be awesome. They could have a settings panel in the ultimate testing room I suggested. Then have toggles for the hero, and attack they use against you. Also add a respawn point in the room. Like the practice range that closes the door when it’s enabled. The same thing could happen in the ultimate testing room. So you don’t need to walk back from the spawn room each time

So a lot of what you’re asking for is available in customs, but you’re also right, there’s no good reason they shouldn’t be more accessible in the Practice Range, too.

This would be especially useful for the stadium practice range. You could see just how much dmg you take through some defensive items and stuff.

The practice range is really lousy for support practice.

There is very little damage going around to heal, no status effects to manage, no urgent situations to work on, the friendly tank isn’t taking any real damage, the hero bot near the entrance just stands there instead of using its abilities, and there’s no way to practice your support hero’s self-defense or escape abilities against anything.

The practice range really is just a shooting range. There is nothing about the practice range that echoes what supports go through in an actual match. At least create an Illari bot who chases you across the range to stick you with her ult because Illaris will chase support across the known universe to solo ult them.

Yh the main issue is most players, especially new ones aren’t going to know how to use the customs browser. Practice range is just easy to hop into. I do have a few things saved in customs thou for messing around in
