Firstly, this is really fun to watch and you have motivated me to do the same – upload a VOD for community review.
Secondly, please leave it RAW. Your commentary adds very little value and removes a lot of information. I can’t hear heroes ulting or anything.
Thirdly, I play Rein. I don’t have much experience on Orisa. Therefore I will only comment the best I can with Rein.
Fourth, I am not trying to be negative. I believe you are a good player. I am just really trying to help you and enjoy watching your VOD. I hope you don’t take any of this personally, and I invite you to discuss any of it with me.
• Team Comp: I think you have picked the wrong hero. You are playing rein with only ana and moira to shield. Tracer and pharah won’t be using your shield. Further more the enemy team has hog and reaper. Not sure what you can do for the team as Rein. I would advocate going D.Va. You can nullify soldier and reaper and allow hog and pharah to do their thing.
• 2.12 Excellent. You’ve made acres of space by going behind the Orisa shield. Your team has a huge advantage thanks to you
• 2.20 – ten seconds pass. Nothing is done with the advantage you made. For some reason you walk up to Hog and Orisa discorded. Not smart. You have a tracer, seems odd the didn’t flank well given the amount of space your team had.
• 2.55 – Excellent shatter. I would have either charged immediately rather than swung or just held shield up. Your shield is at 2,000 health.
• Good fire strike before this shatter, and good timing to catch the Orisa with the shatter. Nothing wrong with mechanical gameplay.
• 3.02 – you’re not sure why you are dying so quickly. Both times you are discorded and the enemy has a reaper and a hog.
• 3.53 – if no one goes after the zen. Try and pin him. It’s a huge pick as it’s obvious he has transcendence. Worst case scenario, you miss the pin, but you are close enough to swing at him and maybe even force tran. It is going away from the point, so I would DEFINITELY chase him, even as Rein.
• 4.03 – really bad awareness and reaction. Even with your commentary over the video, I jumped and reacted to the reaper faster than you did.
• 4.45 – why are you getting close to the reaper? I’ve already said you are the wrong hero for that. You have a pharah that should be on him.
• 4.54 – excellent idea to flank, but you don’t seem scared of reaper. Is that a lack of respect for the opponent or under estimating reaper – or both?
• 5.00 I’m amazed you didn’t die the to reaper.
• 5.37 – you have come to the idea that maybe Rein wasn’t the best pick for the comp. It’s true that Rein is good for this map, but that isn’t the same as, is he good right now for this game? After each minute of the game I think about swapping heroes. After 2mins, I have a really hard think about team comp if things aren’t working.
• 6.25 – I agree, your healers are really good.
• 6.30 – notice they have a mccree now. I look for this and always call it out. If they swap, it may mean you have to swap.
• I don’t understand why you have a Winston. Seems like a really really bad pick. Really weak against hog and Orisa. Ineffective against Pharah. Doesn’t synergise with team. Shame because Winston is really good on this map.
• 7.03 – your Ana is a god. I play Ana, and try to do this. Good Pharahs won’t let you shoot them 3 times, so your Ana is adding huge value.
• 7.28 – this is really difficult because your shield was below half. However, it is your fault that mccree got hooked. Think about it, what is your job. I play D.Va also, and if I were D.Va I would cloak the Mccree with Def Matrix after he was hooked. As Rein, you have to do the same, but mirrored – i.e. cloak before hook. If Mccree doesn’t use your shield it isn’t your fault, but you didn’t give him your shield – so it is your fault
• 7.28 – Good retreat.
• 7.45 – you don’t have a lucio. You do you think you are safe where you are at right now? I would get right back and charge shield to max 2000. Instead you use shield at 300 to defend yourself from hog who is chasing you down. Really odd, because you know you had to retreat, so you charged back but didn’t go far enough. Lack of respect for the enemy team in my opinon.
• 8.08 – really sad to see that Monkey ult. No idea what he is doing in that Elo.
• 8.24 – Reaper gets hooked. This is not your fault. He didn’t use your shield. See the difference between this and 7.28?
• 8.29 – good sense to retreat again.
• Do you not like going up on high ground? - you have shatter and with high ground you can jump them. 30 seconds left at this point.
• 8.49 – your team mates were flanking. This explains why it was only Reaper and you pushing. You should have probably left the Reaper and join the rest of your team. Reaper has wraith – get of jail free in case so shield is less critical
• 9.01 – yep, it’s nice when people use your shield!
• 9.03 – your team got lucky. I have no idea what that enemy mercy was thinking. Literally threw it for them. Also their tanks backed off massively, and the team didn’t follow them. Yeah, they threw that hard.
• 9.07 Shatter is fine. Better safe than sorry. Ana knew to boost you there.
• 9.17 – where are you going!!! Others may have to comment on this, but your shield is more important on point than off!
• 9.43 – I cant help but notice you’re discorded 24/7. Really odd from the zen to do that. Not helping his DPS that much since they can’t shoot through shields!
• 10.18 – nice using cart for protection
• 10.28 – you don’t seem to let shield recharge enough. I would get 1000, maybe even full. 500 too little.
• 10.46 – high risk plays reward high gains. If you got the mercy, it would be huge. But it was unlikely since this zen wants you in a body bag. He is discording you, and focussing you so hard. Given you were so close to shatter – did you need to do a high risk play with so little time left?
• At this point you are now defending with Orisa. I won’t comment on Orisa – I don’t think I’m qualified.
