A lot of threads talking about the new skins have been floating around. Blackwatch Moira, Talon Doomfist, and a couple others have been with good feedback. However, today’s reveal for Mei’s skin hasn’t been getting great feedback. I’ve seen lots of comments, including that it doesn’t fit in Archives, the oven mitts are strange, and more.
Why do you not like this new skin, if you do not think it lives up to potential?
Who honestly cares if a skin is not liked by people.
As long as one person likes it that should be enough. Skins do not need a majority consensus to exist. Skins are suppose to provide people with a variety of choices to find something they do like.
Mei’s Pajama skin will be loved by some and disliked by others and that is fine.
It’s not what she deserves right now.
Mei now has the most legendary skins and emotes (emotes being 9, tied with Tracer albeit Tracer just got TWO WoW emotes). Characters like Ana, Sym, Orisa, and Winston (though I think Winston’s getting a skin this event) are starved for skins in comparison. It reads like Blizzard is trying to make up for Mei-rry STILL.
Oven mitts are odd since the “justification” for it is that Mei was in cryofreeze at the time… We know she obviously didn’t wear mitts in her freeze and has had barehand (partially) skins before–LNY.
Sweater looks a little off to me.
At the end of the day, though, they’re still implementing it. So just airing out salt I guess, hahahah.
I would have thought the mitts made sense before seeing the Lunar New Year skins and now I can’t figure out why they’re even there, I don’t even think she wore them in the short.

Get rid of the gloves, and lose the Sweater, and we got a winner.
there is no potential not met by the mei skin, but a lot of people love it, more people had complaints about sombra’s hair and makeup.
That skin is awesome. I don’t care what any haters say, it’s my new favorite Mei skin. Before, I thought most of the skins were bad that she had. This one is a game changer for me.
It would be a great anniversary or winter wonderland skin. I feel it doesn’t fit with archives (conseidering there are plenty of skin suggestions that would, and this one is taking a preocious space). It’s still a nice skin thou.
But it does fit with Archives. lol
The Archives are anything that has to do with past events and such. So any skins that show a hero in anything we know they’ve worn in the past (like these pajamas she wore when she was frozen) fit perfectly here. lol
I get why some think it should have been anniversary or winter wonderland… even summer games (cause of the shirt lol) but she wore the outfit as part of her lore just as much as the Ecopoint: Antarctica skin. Reaper Shrug
Except that she build her gun to escape Ecopoint Antartica, so technically Pajama Mei doesn’t have a gun 
While that is true… they had to give her something. lol Can’t just rush out into a fight without a weapon in your pajamas. xD
Most of the complaint’s I’ve just seen are “Mei has too many legendaries”
Which I honestly don’t give a [Kiddie Censor] about.

Number of threads on the forum is not indicative of the acceptance or feedback of the majority of players in OW. A small portion of the player base post in the forum and of those the people who make threads are the loudest, but not necessarily represent the majority of players in game.
Hey, I love the skin, don’t get me wrong.
But as I said earlier, I would have preferred other lore related skins, more akin to these event, than Pajamei which could have come out whenever.
A small part of me wants to ruin it but at the same time I care about other player’s feelings. So… Reaper Shrug lol
That is like saying Casual Hanzo should of been released with Archives instead of Winter Wonderland.
Archives is about the pivotal moments in OW history. Mei getting out of cryo in her pajamas is not exactly a pivotal moment in OW history. Especially since lore wise the most she has done at best is climbed a few mountains looking for shut down ecopoints.
The Kings Row Uprising was both Tracer’s first mission and a major event in the history of the world of OW.
The mission in Venice was the one that exposed Blackwatch to the world and changed the course of OW’s fate.
Nobody seems to like the new skins for some reason. I don’t see why people care. If the skins aren’t good then it’s less reason to buy loot-boxes if you wanted to so it’s more money you would have.
I feel like the whole top part of the skin just feels lazy (no pun intended). I’m not really complaining though, because Mei already has some really great skins.
This is the kind of skin for her I’ve been waiting for since the beginning, I absolutely love it.
The gloves I’m a bit curious about, would like to know the reasoning behind them, and the lack of glasses would make this perfect, but that’s how I see it.
Seeing all these heroes in blackwatch and uprising attire then having Mei in her pajamas, lol, it’s hilarious, I love it all
