Feedback on Brig changes is outstandingly negative

Even with Genji changes the responce to them was usually about 90-120 likes on the most popular posts, with the brig posts we’re seeing upwards of 200 likes on the biggest posts.

The only times that anything else has been this outstandingly negative is the symmetra nerfs during dual shield, and some of the larger controversies.

I really hope Blizzard listens this time

Well, they already dumpstered her once, they’re more than willing to do it again.

Dopamine’s a helluva drug.

Putting in a little more effort will be healthy for them.

That time they dumpstered her and she went on to have one of the highest winrates in the game?

This is hard to explain

Brig is a very simple hero, her skill ceiling is very low, what I mean by that is… you can min max her whole kit pretty quickly in comparison to other heros

Brig players are already putting in the most effort they can, what this nerf will do is just force teammates to put in more effort to

  1. make brig effectively synergize with them
  2. Carry the weight that she can’t

yea on the forums which is used by??? Oh yea that’s right 90% support mains wow shocking. Stop acting like we all hate the nerfs I love them in-game people are happy about it you aren’t the majority.

Yeah I can mostly agree with that.

If these changes go through it’s gonna be a tough one for Brig players given their response to this exp. nerf. Her winrate will need to get worse before it can get better… she’s been so effective those maining her have undoubtedly climbed a considerable amount of SR, some leap-frogging several tiers.

and if the majority of support players are very unhappy about these nerfs, don’t you think that might be a bad thing?

People dont just dislike nerfs to their role, I mean people still want ana Nerfs, its probably one of the most asked for things on the forums.

I guess what I mean to say is, if the vast majority of support players are saying no to these changes, don’t you think that might mean that the changes are bad or unessasary?

The overheal mechanic will be gone regardless of how hard I work.

I’m not against nerfs, but overheal removal is just like the mooted Moira nerf: lazy and uninspired (pun intended).

50 armor on flankers was one of the most oppressive things in the game. I’m not surprised nor against it being removed. (this is coming from someone who pretty much strictly plays flankers and got armored all the time, the sht was broken asf) although the compensation buffs were a bit doodoo

you all were mad when Mercy started getting nerfed so no? I think it’s meaningless if you are all upset clearly none of you know balance.

But at the time, using it to protect a support because you know we will be targeted in the open, like zen or ana, or an ulting moira, was also the meaning of those packs. If you’re unhappy that ennemy get a flanker with very temporary armor, then get a brig yourself and report the reddit lucio player in your team who bring 0 value and refuses to switch.

They listened to Moira feedback so i dont see why not.

I’m surprised how even a lot of the competitive reddit is saying the nerf is overly harsh.

The problem is when most of the flankers get overheal armor, brig can’t even effectively counter them. So in turn, she ends up working more as a teammate to the flankers and divers than an actual counter. Which is not her purpose, not at all. In fact it’s the complete opposite.

True, true… I could think of some compromises like allowing the armor pack to linger if it hasn’t healed 110. Maybe reduce the effectiveness of the healing by 25% per second after the initial 2s.

Perhaps that’d be too complicated, or still too effective and undermine the reason for the nerf in the first place.

Gonna need something to prove this.

Who are the flankers most of the time : tracer, genji, sombra and doom.

Doom will get and instant 150 shields you wont see much of a difference. But with genji, trancer and sombra, armoring your fellow support can counter them a lot because the damage reduction induced by the armor, can save the life of your teamates.

The infamous Mercy mega thread which ended with 120k+ replies proves my point. Also by looking at profiles when anyone replies to me most are support mains and most of them are mercy moira brig players

i think it won’t last, the experimental card is here to experiment right? remember the 1-3-2? has been here yet never happened in the game. I am pretty confident this brig nerf won’t be implemented, at least in this state

There was also the Moira fade buff.
