Feature Request: Test Button

It’d be great to have a “Test” button in the Workshop Editor.

Problem: Currently, when you change a rule, condition, or action, you have to press ESC twice to get to the lobby (depending on how you got to the Workshop Editor), then press “Start” or “Restart”. This requires 2 button presses, a mouse move, and a mouse click. If you got to it from the “Workshop Editor” button in the pause menu, then you have to press ESC twice, press “Show Lobby”, and then click “Restart”. This requires two button presses, 2 mouse moves, and 2 mouse clicks. It only takes a few moments but it adds up when you have to make lots of changes in the Workshop Editor.

Solution: “Test” button in the Workshop Editor.

This button will be somewhere on the Workshop Editor screen. After I change a rule, I can just click “Test” and it will automatically start or restart the match. This requires only 1 mouse move, and only 1 mouse click. It will save a lot of hassle when making changes rapidly in a custom workshop game mode.

I have a mockup picture that I can post here, but I don’t have permission to post images on this forum.

Also nice to have is a keyboard shortcut to activate the Test button, but not required.

BTW Thanks so much for the Workshop, it’s awesome!

This would be a nice addition.

There is already a “Restart Custom Game” hotkey. I have it bound to Ctrl+Shift+Tab.
