Feat of Strengths are achievements that players will find very difficult, if not impossible to earn. For example if you win a map in QP or in the Arcade within 5 - 10 mins let’s just say… then you will earn a Feat of Strength achievement. Or if you own a rare cosmetic such as Blizzcon Bastion, Pink Mercy, Illidan Genji etc, then you will also be rewarded with a Feat of Strength.
Here are a couple of images showing how Feat of Strengths work in WoW.
Feat of Strengths also exist in Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and (I think?) Heroes of the Storm.
If you haven’t completed a specific feat of strength achievement then it will not appear in your achievements list unless you’ve earned it. This is to prevent completionists from getting upset about the unobtainable ones I assume.
I think Feat of Strengths would be a cool addition to Overwatch. In WoW they really motivate people to work towards a goal… And when they accomplish that goal it feels GREAT.
This is something Overwatch lacks right now in my eyes. There is little to no incentive to invest more time into Overwatch currently. It’s just the same old watch numbers on your profile go up or down for the past 4 (now approaching 5) years.
The mini events or weekly challenges certainly help people feel more motivated to play Overwatch, but Blizzard can certainly do more than that.
