This is most likely a frequently asked question, but I’m bored and curious anyway. This isn’t a post intended to start debates or arguments, but that’s up to y’all.
Who are your favorite characters to play? Why?
Who are your least favorite characters to play and play against?
I like Reaper the most because there’s something so cathartic about shooting a mass of high velocity projectiles into another players face.
I dislike playing Mei. I just find her boring to use.
I really like playing against Genji.
I hate playing against Brigitte if I’m a tank.
Favourite to play is genji / lucio / zen / widow least favourite to play is orisa
Favorites:Dva, Hammond, Moira, Widowmaker (When I can be decent), Brig (for buffing allies health)
Least: Doomfist, Bastion, Orisa, Zen.
Pretty simple.
Like to play as: Any mechanically demanding hero.
Dislike to play as: Any non-mechanically demanding hero.
Like to play against: Any mechanically demanding hero.
Dislike to play against: Any non-mechanically demanding hero.

Current favorites are Zenyatta and Zarya, but I also really get a kick out of Lucio, Junkrat, and D.Va. Ana and McCree are growing on me as I get more consistent with them.
Least favorites are currently Doomfist and Hammond as I have NO IDEA how to use them effectively. There’s a lot of flailing and dying there.
[Ed: I don’t really love playing against any heroes in particular, and I only get frustrated by really good Tracers.]
Soldier 76, Tracer, Bastion, Moira and recently Reaper are the toons I play.
I hate Hanzo with a passion and solo Ult him every chance I get.

Favorit Orisa, for many reaaons
Least favorit winston, playing as him is just underwhelming and no amout of mobility can fix his horrible gun, and fighting against him is mostly a waste of time.
Favourite heroes to play are Sombra, Hammond, Zenyatta, Lucio, Moira
Sombra: there’s something funny about being a sneaky hacker disrupting the enemy team with my hacks. Great fun hacking Rein before he can use his earth shatter and saving my teammates. But she’s also incredibly frustrating to play due to her bug and other such features. Stealth randomly turning off, translocator not throwing, translocator activating earlier than you want, stealth breaking even when you take like less than 1 damage, and hack being a buggy mess.
Hammond: just picked him up a few days ago and by god is he difficult but he’s still fun. I think it’s just a matter of practicing my grappling around each map. I played a lot of super monkey ball so I just like G-force a lot.
Zenyatta: he feels like a mix between Damage and support. Just discording and headshoting folks provided I don’t miss like 88% of the time.
Lucio: wall riding is incredibly fun to do. Just speedboosting and booping people off maps especially when they have their ults ready. Funniest part was when I booped a genji into a hole right as he got his ult.
Moira: I just like her since I seem to do extremly well with her.
Least favourite characters to play

Reinhardt: I know he’s useful but he’s just so boring. It’s hold down barrier and walk forward most of the time

Orisa: I’ve played plenty of times but she always had the same problem as Reinhardt in that she’s kind of boring to play.

Bastion: he’s way too easy to fight against that I feel bad every time I murder a bastion.

Favorite: Doomfist. Doomfist is my favorite hero because I love fighting my enemies up close and personal. Now im going to tell you a long story about how I became a Doomfist main. Before Doomfist came I was a Genji main, around January 2017 I was getting tired of playing Genji and he felt boring to play. So I decided to get a new main. I suck at playing McCree, Reinhardt was boring, S76 wasn’t fun to play, I can’t hit anything as Junkrat, I didn’t know how to play Tracer, and Pharah is boring to play. So I gave up and went back to playing Genji. I played him in comp and I got placed in low silver (1557sr)
Around July 2017, my brothers showed me Doomfist origin story. It was so satisfying to see Genji and Tracer get owned, I couldn’t wait to play Doomfist. When Doomfist came to console, I was excited to play him. I remember my match as Doomfist was on Numbani attack. I remember mashing the square button so many times trying to get Doomfist to reload his gun, I didn’t know how to use seismic slam I was like “what does these numbers mean” “why am I going so slow” “why am I going so fast”, I remember using rocket punch for the first time and I lol when I killed killed mercy only her head was sticking out of the wall. Here’s my first Doomfist highlight, it not as cool as the other ones though.
Now I couldn’t main Doomfist because so many people was picking him before I could, so I gave up on him and went back to playing Genji 
I felt like trying to main Doomfist again, but when I found out that Doomfist became “bugfist” I gave up again. Around September 2017 I watched Chipsa Doomfist montage on youtube and I was amazed. And I said “I wanna do that too” so mained Doomfist again, but this time there was no going back. I couldn’t practice Doomfist in quick play so I practice him in deathmatch. After months of practicing and watching Doomfist guides, I was ready to play him in comp for the first time. My placement matches was great, 7 wins and 3 loss. I got placed in low gold (2007sr). I played comp for a while, I loss matches and won some of them. Now I was one match away from plat and Roadhog and I was the only ones left on the point. Doomfist started to bug out on me and I was very upset, but the Roadhog noticed me going through him and slam+uppercut was registering. So he let me win the match, and I finally made it to plat.
During season 8 I bought my golden Doomfist gauntlet and I was proud of myself. My brothers couldn’t main Doomfist because he was just too frustrating to play because of bugs. However, I kept playing Doomfist and I tried my best not to let his bugs make me upset (his bugs made me lose matches many times tho)
Today, I’m definitely better at playing Doomfist. I’m an average Doomfist main. I still practice him in deathmatch and I have fun too. I thank blizz for making Doomfist not be a buggy mess anymore. So that’s it 
Least favorite: Genji, Tracer, Sombra, Pharah, Torb, Roadhog, Dva, Reaper, Hanzo, Mei, Junkrat, Mercy, Moira, Lucio, and Brigitte. They give me a hard time when I’m playing Doomfist.
I like playing Ana/Zen/Tracer/Genji. Meanwhile Hanzo’s kit is completely devoid of nuance and bores me to tears.
I like fighting anything that isn’t a tank. DF and Brig are tanks.
Dva sucks all the fun out of the game.
