Ive had chat muted the whole time I’ve been playing today. I had to restart the game because I was lagging and when I logged in I got a message saying “Voice chat may be recorded to investigate and verify reports of disruptive behavior.” I haven’t said a word and am not even in chat. Should I be concerned about the false report? How long will they be monitoring me? lol

That’s a general disclaimer warning.
That appears in every game for everyone. I think it’s the new Defense Matrix thing. It’s so they can track toxic chat through voicechat instead of only through text

I’d imagine you’re getting reported by enough people for leaving games. Seems like a disclaimer for something along the lines of you’re game behavior is currently being reviewed.
If I had to imagine this in a rational way… I’d say it would be along the lines of people reported you were throwing (because you disconnected), they’re going to check over stuff to see if there’s any behavior and such from you that confirms it, and they’re going to discover in the review, “They appeared to just disconnect.”
Or the key thing the whole thing says, “Players will now see a notification when entering voice chat for the first time during a play session indicating that voice chat may be recorded.”

Ohhh, I misread that. Then yeah, looks like it’s just a general notification/reminder of “Hey, this changed.”
Definitely that, I just went to play my first game since and it’s showing up for me too.

That general disclaimer came with today’s patch for PC only so far for the Defense Matrix initiative they have.
I just received the same message today. I am muted all the time, I never talked to other players. So I guess it’s just a general message.

or so called toxic players are being used as an excuse to monitor. what need is there to monitor that which can be muted.
