Falsely accused of cheating

So im a huge widow player, in fact that’s primarily all my hours on overwatch because I have thought of widow to be a very difficult hero to master and i liked the challenge. Although recently i was playing with a friend of mine who I’ve been playing with for probably 2 years now on ow, and we were popping off in comp, in fact i finally reached diamond which i have not reached in ow 1 or ow 2, so its a big deal, but that was due to a 10 game winning streak. During those 10 games i was accused of smurfing and hacking because i was hitting a lot of my shots as widow, some guy literally added me after a game to tell me that he thought i was cheating and then unadded me.

We eventually stopped playing, and when i went to play some more OW the next day it said my account was banned, I’ve submitted a ticket since but they still are accusing me of cheating.

Is there any way i can show them how i play from a clip i have saved? or maybe someone with a brain will notice that i have 900 hours on widow so i may be decent? If there is any way to prove i wasn’t that would be great information to know, until them im going to keep submitting tickets until hopefully the right person looks at my issue.

All of my banned accounts still haven’t gotten looked at truthfully. You won’t actually get a response that will help because they removed live chat. There’s just no use in trying anymore unless some staff on forums would actually help.

yeah I was afraid of that, lets just hope they get some good staff that actually cares about the players.

You can use replay codes from the matches so people can see them.
Cheating accusations are everywhere, people rage and get mad a lot. I had 1 match with 60% accuracy on soldier and around that with Helix rockets and half the enemy team was throwing shade on the chat.

He can’t if he doesn’t have them saved already.
He’s better off just making a new account.

Well yeah if the account is banned, theres no way to get them.
Although if it is, and not just a suspension, that means the system/warden tracked something there so yeah, good luck with that.

I’d assume this would’ve been triggered by application activity in the background rather than your gameplay?

Running any sussy programs in the background? (e.c Process Hacker, Cheat Engine, etc)
Or are you playing on Linux perchance?

All the 10 games?

This sounds like a fairy tale, I am sorry. Would be great if you provided game codes.

There are players much better than you, like masters and gms, and nobody got banned.

You should provide proofs of what you saying here. It all sounds like you really did hack.

You sound like a 14 years old little trash but we are here very inclusive reading your accusation

realistically speaking.

Im at 1,030hours of widow. I get accused of cheating all the time.

(This will be a long post)

First off, I tell players - dont cheat, why would I bother automating the game for me, that’d be boring.

Anyway. I think in some fact of it. If you are playing an alternative account they consider it now “Boosting / De-ranking” to be playing outside of your ELO / mmr rating. When you have a high enough skill rating. Which lets be honest, players create low mmr accounts and purposefully under-perform so they can play with their friends that are Bronze, Silver and QP together. So a person has to purposefully make bad choices.

Everyone does it.

But regardless. I think the alt-account stuff is what gets folks into trouble.

So there are talking points

#1 - “You” are tracking a player through the wall. and can have perfect tracking through a Visually obstructive barrier. So, I have been accused this in fights where, the team is behind a payload or next to a Car, vehicle etc.

My thinking as widow, or a hitscan is. I am going to LOOK under the vehicle, or payload and MAKE shots at that person by firing underneath of it. Because I can land poke damage and when their HP bar runs out. Its a KO.

#2. Would be insane flickshots. If a person re-watches them, we all know how to do them. Its a weird rule of online game servers, that a Flick shot will count. Even though we know in the real world, this doesn’t happen. In all games. This works, its just part of the game. So it looks like sniper-aimbot. Despite in slow-downs a person can clearly see a Person over-aims and aim corrects.

#3 I would say the biggest one is being HIT behind walls, and through walls. Unfortuantly when Blizzard went to cross play. They left out the major component that different networks and systems require a different tickrate in order to operate. What they failed so heavily on in their network department (and most) is that this causes Desync of random players, to the server.

I have often times cleared a barrier and get DOMED through it, go “WTF?” and then watch on that player’s screen, that they STILL saw me on it. even up to 1/2 a second after I cleared the boundary line. Which just goes to show that “A” it still needs to be reported as cheating, so they look at it, and B they perhaps need to do-away with Cross play since it doesn’t work for this game. Or C. give an “opt out” for computer players.

Players DO cheat. if you are noticing someone that is tracking through walls, or they look down at the ground and insta-click your head almost always and to the same spot, or look like they KNOW where “you” are on a map. They ARE cheating.

The ping system doesn’t always help either, since the pings sometime turn into “tagging” players and it continues to follow them through walls, but if you are on the other side of the map, coming out of spawn. Either the enemy knows you will take one of two routes back to them. So change up the route, and if they are aiming towards the least expected route, and you see them pointing your direction before you clear that boundary. Its obvious what they are doing.

Happy hunting ! :+1:

Thank you for taking the time to respond in such detail.

The thing is I love flicking, I don’t normally trace players heads to get headshots, I always flick to their heads, I’ve always liked how fast and cool flick shots are, so I’ve been doing that since I’ve awped on csgo back in the day. I’m pretty sure that’s what caused it because I will hit super nutty flicks, I mean I’ve done a 180 flick on a invisible sombra before, and that’s j one instance, but I feel like just because i hit a few crazy shots that shouldn’t immediately cause a ban, like i’m not consistent either, so one game ill do amazing, and others less than average. I feel like if more than 1 game was reviewed they would see that.

gonna check back here to see if you have any luck. same thing happened to my account on the road to 50 wins and their response to my ticket was basically “you did what you did”

Nothing, I had some gaming programs (like steam, riot games, etc) in the background as well as I had Youtube for some music, but no other programs were open or running
