Failed to connect to the game server

I’ve read just about every single forum post and support thread about the issue I’m facing,
I play like normally, couple quick play games, then queue competitive, one or two games no issues,

My next game, I queue, ban phase happens, my other queued friends have no issue and connect, yet I’m stuck on the loading screen of ban phase with a “failed to connect to game server”, I get banned. (not here to complain about the ban, I just want the disconnect issue fixed.)

I’ve made three tickets, all three providing the same response from support, the basic troubleshooting steps, yet to no avail. I’ve done everything in the book that has been provided, I’ve swapped from steam to battle net, I’ve made sure my internet has a stable connection, I’ve released my IP, flushed the DNS, disabled the firewalls. I did it all and followed everything to the best of my ability.

A little side information, I play on my home computer, a desktop, and I also play on a laptop when I am at school. The issue persists on both of these devices, same issue no difference. Now I only know that this cannot possibly be an internet problem because the same friends I play with, also go to the same school as I do, and we are connected to the same internet when we play at school.

I’ve been really looking forward to playing these new seasons because all of the changes are super good and really good for the game, but these bans and disconnects are kind of killing it for me.

Like I said, I’ve read everything there is to read, is there any other type of assistance that can be provided?

So if your friends are using the same network and you’re the only one who can’t complete a connection, then the issue is likely a setting on your computer. Perhaps security apps, an overlay, or network settings in Windows are causing it. Unfortunately, those are all things you’d need to investigate on your own or with a PC technician since they are not part of Blizzard’s software.

It doesn’t make sense to me that you opened three tickets for the same issue, which only makes ticket wait times worse for everyone. What answer were you expecting from Customer Support?

Can you elaborate on what you mean by “other type of assistance”?
