I just want to put this out for the Overwatch team to see it in case this is a new issue… I have a great, hard-wired connection, my PlayStation 5 was recently restarted (just yesterday), and I’ve had no other issues.
Today, I queued up for Comp, and went through the hero ban process. Hero ban results were displayed, and the next screen was the Looking for Game screen. After about 10 seconds, I saw the Failed to Connect to Server message, and saw that I was banned for 15 minutes.
I’m aware that bans happen for any reason, but now I’m afraid to even queue up for Comp in case this happens to me again… I don’t want bans stacking up, getting longer, or having my account at risk of a complete ban.
This sucks.

This is not a new issue it’s been happening but because they claim that they cannot detect the difference, you still get penalized that has been the main only issue. I’ve been having failure to connect to server it always pops in the corner and orange letters and if I play three or four games straight, it always comes around that time.

Same thing just happened to me after the hero ban results as well

Ive been having the same issues. Its happened to me 4 times and left me banned for the last 2.5 weeks of last season. It always happens after charcter bans and now it has happened twice in qp after map voting. I feel like i cant play comp now even after my ban is done since if i fail to connect to server again i might be perma banned.
The same old usual GARBAGE servers as before. Nothing is fixed and nothing will be fixed.
I am on xbox and have been getting disconnected and getting that msg. One of my friends is also ha.ving the same issue.

I have the same issue. Xbox series x, wired connection, banned last season from competitive, still getting disconnected. Please show console some love and fix this.
