Factions and heroes needed

I’m increasingly pondering (with some recovered enthusiasm for the lore) what kind of heroes we’ll need in Overwatch next. Some quite ‘obvious’, some quite imaginative. Don’t be offended if I don’t mention Mauga, I think it’s too obvious he’s coming to season 8 by now.

  • Vishkar villain Hero. We need someone who intentionally follows Talon’s plans like Sanjay Korpal, also giving the possibility to have new villans among the supports besides Moira. maybe a talon/ vishkar agent stationed in Italy and also Italian. Perhaps connected to the world of Italian fashion design.
  • Pure Anubis Omnic. Ok, it is true that Ramattra is part of the uprising of the omnics against humans, but he has also always sided against the power of the GOD program. But genesis actually left a space for omnics who were and still are servants of the Anubis program. It would be great to have omnics that don’t have Autrora’s awakening process (being next generation) … and with extremely technical protocols like Orisa’s as she is written in the book, when she had her “empathic module” removed ". A 100% Robot that follows directives, or even a “puppet” of Anubis himself, like the zerg of Starcraft with the Cerebrate for Overmind.
  • Support junker. maybe a different recycler than Ana or Baptiste’s healing method. Maybe a mechanic, or a lethal chemist who interests Moira and her research into genetic mutations.
  • Colosseum Gladiatos. I can see that the Colosseum adds lore for the wrestlers in its arena. And after 3 Italian maps, a totally Italian hero is absolutely legitimate, isn’t it?
  • Agent of the Petras Act. In my opinion, if and when we run out of Null Sector lore it’s imperative that a state figure be reintroduced into the lore. We must always remember that overwatch is currently illegal, and there should still be someone who remembers why they shut it down. In short, we need a neutral hero, who in any case does not approve of the return of overwatch together with the terrorism of Talon / null sector.

for now I have in mind only these types of heroes that could enrich the lore at present. what you think?

100% i want like a mad scientist that uses acid to heal and harm like in spletoon.

We also need a tank black watch hero as well as a second support. Also we need some American heros that dont use guns

by american you mean gringos? we already have 4 of them, two cowboys and two soldiers, excelent diversity of archetypes, ashe was a waste of character not because she is a bad character but she ads nothing to the lore of the game, i think we need another talon character, remember when talon were the main enemies of the game and they were planing something? blizzard sure dont

A Junker support could be fun! Acid/heal would be cool, but it’d also be cool if they were like a Botanist. They could be like a hippie naturalist that uses plant potions to heal/ poison enemies. It’d be funny if the other healers didn’t like them or don’t believe their heals are safe.

I don’t think blackwatch needs more lore, being basically a more secretive and less evident section in the organization of the old overwatch. but certainly the “candidates” to be old having are:

  • Fio, the blackwatch pilot of retribution that we only heard in the communications.
  • Emre Sarioglu, mentioned in some old brigitte teasers as teammate of reinhardt and trovjorn during a mission in instambul. obviously there is no confirmation that he was part of blackwatch;
  • the last unknown guy from the Ana origins photo (we already knew that one of them is Sojourn). some speculate that they saw him among the members of the new talon in masquerade, on the Venetian table in a small silhouette of a guy with a forelock. for him it might be interesting to have the story of a 100% traitor (reaper / reyes has now been established to have been convinced using his anger at society) who actually blew up switzerland.

this suggestion from the botanist (technically lifeweaver isn’t it?) makes me think that among scientists we have another excellent candidate: the archaeologist hamid faisal, mentioned somewhere in the lore. he could use a principle of molecular restructuring similar to the technology of mercy and lifeweaver, but … on things (also justifying the way omnics are healed).

There has to be more factions! More heroes within those factions.

Since D.VA has pretty much joined Overwatch now and left MEKA, (I assume?), we will never see another MEKA-character playable is my guess now.

More villians or neutral heroes for Talon and Vishkar.
More ‘employees’ from Vishkar would be so cool to have another from so Sym can slay together with!
A Junker Support sounds very interesting !!

well… they could be some NPCs useful in some solitary missions of D.Va in Busan. or in any case that help the protagonists of PVe like Claire in Toronto in the background.

I was weighing on someone who really wants to follow Vishkar’s projects, like Sanjay Korpal who I’ve always found suitable as a Talon support villain. Perhaps the problem is in the concept, now that Illari has adopted the concept of the healing turrets very well.

or why not, Sven! I mean the mechanic who drove the titan in the comic with torbjorn with the intention of starting a war between the unamni and the omnic. he had very similar intentions to Doomfist, and in my opinion Talon needs a mechanic, not just scientists or hackers.
