Hello there,
I have a problem that on some stadium servers my ping is so high it isn’t playable anymore. Like 300-600 ms. Other players sometimes experienced it too and told about it in the match chat. It’s really annoying because i checked my ping through another site during the match and it was normal so it had to be something with the servers.
It’s very frustrating too because you know you gonna loose the match with a ping like that and you can’t make something against it. You have to play the hole game, loose and hope for a better server.
The problem appears on Xbox series s and I’m living in the south of Germany

Yes I have the same thing maybe every 5-6 games. The team confirms they are all on the same server but with low ping.

Same here in New Zealand on PC, Good thing im only in Novice rank but its every 4-6 games. VPN does not affect this issue and i have had 2 abandonded games because ive tried to reset the game by alt + f4

Same issue here, Colorado US. I ran a ping test using one of those websites, pings to Austin, LA, Chicago, even Amsterdam were all well under 150. But 360-400 ping ingame. It wasn’t jittery either, no packet loss. Just 400ms latency.
And I have a friend in Vancouver who just had the same issue as well.

I’m having the same issue here in south american servers. I tried stadium 3 times and it’s always with a super high ping
I’ve had this issue with OW for a while now and as crazy as it sounds I have found that switching between regions usually helps. I’m on PC and I usually rotate between the three regions and look in custom games and look at the ping on the games there to determine if it’s loading me into my correct server or not. Probably not a fix for everyone, but might work for some.
Same issues here. Quick Play, Arcade, Comp all latency is normal.
Hop into Stadium and latency goes to between 250-300ms.
Playing on NA Servers (Chicago). No explanation from Blizzard as to why.

I’ve been having issues with woefully unstable ping since the season 16 patch. It jumps from like 70 to as high as 700, the game has been virtually unplayable. I saw a reddit thread with people saying the same stuff about season 16. I’ve turned my router off and on multiple times it’s done nothing.
I too am having this same issue. Intermittently get connected to a stadium match with my normal ping (36ms) through to 400-500 ping randomly. I am on the same ethernet connected network to my partner sitting next to me in the same match with 35 ping the whole game. Seemingly I have zero idea when I will get a game with insane bad ping or a normal ping. And it is costing me a lot of games in stadium. I have submitted multiple tickets and get copy/paste answers from the blizzard GMs - literally zero help - this all started about a month ago when one of the April updates occurred. Switched off VPNs. Tried everything zero change. Why will no one actually look into it. Ping bug is destroying my enjoyment of this mode.
Same with me, sometime in between rounds I got swapped into server that has 300 ping make the game is unplayable. Is there any solutions to lock the server just only 1 region?
