Explaining the Sinatraa situation

I’m basically just making this because personally I had a really hard time finding the information. If you’re looking for a thread that can explain the entire situation, this should be your go to.

On march 9th Sinatraa ex-girlfriend, Cleo Hernandez, posted a detailed account of her relationship with Jay Won. The document included accusations of Won sexually harassing and abusing her, as well as mental, emotional, and physical abuse. The document can be found below.

The document includes screenshots of their text messages, discord conversations, and an audio file. I would warn you that these include some NSFW themes.

Since then Won has been suspended from the Valorant Champions Tour competition by Riot. Along with that Won’s previous OWL team, San Francisco Shock as made a statement about the accusations, condemning the player. Along with that Won’s “Alien Zarya” skin has been given the option to be refunded by players who feel they do not wish to own the skin any longer.

On march 10th Won made a post about his side of the story, stating that he regrets how things ended. He also stated that he did not assault Cleo. The post can be found below.

Honestly to me I was caught a bit off gaurd… it’s weird, I’ve played games with Sinatraa on my team on random ladder games. I really hope Cleo is alright, I know there are people who are gonna hop into this and say “why do you blindly believe this persons accusations?” and to that I say, I’d rather believe a liar, than believe a abuser.

I’d rather not believing BOTH of them until the case is proven on court.

Thanks for the information. Was wondering what’s going on. Personally don’t want to take a stance until we get an update.

This’ll be settled out of court.

Welcome to 2021, where court no longer exists for rape/abuse scandals.

Compliance/silence is one of the biggest contributors towards oppression.

I don’t really feel super strongly towards either side, but mentalities like this can be dangerous.

I’ve seen this thrown around a lot and I don’t understand why you have to make this choice. It seems more sensible to be honest and say you don’t know and remain neutral.

why settle unless you are lying.
the “documentation” is incoherent and irrelevant to the claims being made.
the audio snippet has zero context.
no previous gfs or current gf corroborates the story.
no witnesses corroborate.
no documentation of physical evidence, cuts, bruising etc.
no complaint to the police was made at the time of the alleged offence.

if this is how low the bar is being set for “evidence” the world is doomed.

Because if you are not actively speaking out then you’re in some way considering something socially acceptable.

Something is socially acceptable not when it is praised, or torn down, but when it gets no reaction at all.

Woah, woah, WOAH!

Hold on man!

You can’t be throwing out ACCUSATIONS like that! I mean… Y-You don’t even have any proof! But she does!!

She’s innocent!!!

For real though, nothing is set in stone man. Let’s… play it safe for now.

It’s kind of involuntary for me though. I can’t just pretend like I know something when I don’t. Maybe others have an easier time doing this but I just can’t. If that means some people think I find some unproven nefarious act acceptable then I guess I have to own that then.

I guess that’s reasonable.

For someone who wants to play it safe, the past posts you’ve been making in these threads are either blaming the first party and an attempt to say the other party is innocent.

Both are equally immoral.
Said liar can potentially end someone’s career and put someone’s livelihood in danger. And to some extent already has.
Even in a lot of cases where the accuser ended up being a liar, the damage had already been done. Look no further than your, and other people’s reaction. You want to believe the victim, completely up to you. But know that in doing so you’re condemning a potentially innocent man to a ruined life.

I’d rather believe neither party until it’s settled in court.

In 2021 the only court is Twitter & other social media

Liar says empty lies
Abuser says sad truth
If abuser lies too, then he is abuser and liar

I 100% believe Cleo

I just don’t think her accusations constitute rape.
The “I was afraid of being alone and that he wouldn’t love me so i gave in” is not the same as “i was afraid he was going to kill me” or “I was threatened financially or with kids”

I heard the audio files.I was disturbed and don’t find them convincing. No comment further.

I read the texts - Sinatraa is a manchild, and she is womanchild. Calling that psychological abuse is offensive to psychological abuse.

Nobody was holding a gun to her head to be in that relationship. She states she broke up with him at first because he was ignoring her and her texts.

Later she says, and I quote: "“Eventually, I would rather just say yes and lay there until he was done” - because he was lovebombing her and coming on to her and would guilt trip her if she didn’t put out…

If that’s rape, then rape has cheapened significantly.

Victims of sexual abuse usually put out in order to a) avoid get beaten up b) avoid getting killed c) avoid waking up the kids d) any sort of life changing threat

She did it to avoid getting dumped - rip braincells

P.S. The reason she posted this was to safe face against rumors against her perpetuated by Sinatraa of how she was “mentally unstable” and claims that he made her cry and beg him to stay (but she didn’t mean it)… Um excuse me?

Btw I never liked Sinatraa, I posted before celebrating that that brat is not in OWL anymore. But holy hell… This is insanity what’s happening to him

And why do victims of rape and sexual abuse not go to court?

Look up Brock Turner.
