Explain to me why

why whenever someone severely under performs in a gm game, they also happen to be on private profile.

nice update.

the majority of players have private profiles due to it being default, and you are more likely to check profiles of players you believe are underperforming. that is the link.

and explain to me what you you do if they had a public profile?

tilt your team with being toxic to them based on what you perceive they do wrong? dictate what they play? complain about onetricks or mercy mains?

you know sometimes someone just has a bad game/day

no people like you are worse for the game overall than someone playing bad on a hidden profile

He’ll seek ways to improve the player’s situation by putting him in the best conditions available.

“Oh. You’re a hitscan main with little to no experience on projectile heroes? There, I can let you play Widow which I picked because I didn’t see you were maining her. Haha, such a nice day. So much fun ! Damn, we won the game ! Ggs everyone, and good day to you all. Oh ! This dude linked his Twitch, let’s check it out ! We might even see some of our mistakes and try to improve ! Haha, we’re so lucky to be alive”.

Let’s be real. People are way too sensitive. The percentage of private profiles users shows us that out there, you’re all some special snowflakes that can’t handle anything. Some of us, the players, need to grow up. And hiding ain’t helping that.

  • Before “Your profile is on hidden” : My profile is on friends only. That’s because I hate seeing my rating go down on Overbuff when I let this account decay after placing it. For those wondering, i’m a Main Tank Main who’s at 3639 before decay

Or that isn’t the matter at all and you’re just projecting your personal disapproval for private profiles onto people who use the feature in general.

You’re only upset that you no longer have ammunition to berate somebody over their profile and have “justification” for why godly you lost a game.

If they are under performing they need to ask to swap to another role they might succeed at but ask someone to swap with them to keep 2-2-2

This is why despite that I’m pro-private profile, I’m only supporting it because there are more people who are, like “Hey, you’re a Lucio main. Why are you still playing Zenyatta?” to a point that them just b**tching in chat is just barely even the problem.

Now, if they go from being a Mercy main and then suddenly they stubbornly stick to DPS… that makes the private profile very problematic.

Like, I’m only supporting it because there are alot of us who’d want to flex to something else, even to a point of settling for just a different hero in the same role or even the same sub-role (I.E. Lucio main burnt out and playing Zen… or even Mercy, and not touching Lucio), but get alot of flack to a point where teammates just go tilt and make it worse (some even throw) when their “Mercy-one trick” refuses to play Mercy, but is still playing support like Zenyatta, Brigette, Moira, etc…).

Honestly, we didn’t need private profiles (despite that I support it). We just need to have less pricks.

I feel the same way I posted on this earlier tell these people whats right

I’m just gonna quote myself

Like, seriously… there are more people who have insecurity issues than not in this game for some reason. I can do good as Zen (if not better) than I do with Moira (I only ended up “maining” her because in low-enough SR, no one cares about peeling for supports), but there are more peeps who just end up getting annoyed with me playing Zen and saving people than them just caring about winning the game. I mean, the meta is grav-drag. You want a Moira-main?

If someone tells me that they think im underperforming as a hero and I am I simply swap but if im not then I just tell them I got gold damage or I got 15k healing its that simple

I wish I can get away with just that. But I guess here in SEA (where its like the olympics for toxic players, throwers/trolls/griefers on who can do worse), its like “do it my way, or I throw”.

not gonna lie, I’ve spent quite a fair amount of cash in subscribing (and unsubscribing to subscribe to another) VPN to see which one can reliably not bork on me and atleast give me 220 ping max in NA West coast servers… and since I live in the Philippines, where we’ve had around a decade of crappernet, I’ve had to lower my standards on ping I can play as.

Sucks that Blizzard had the bright idea to mark SEA and OCE under the Americas region, but we can’t natively get in actual NA-based servers on our own.

do you play on PC or console? because this never happens on console I rarely meet toxic players on console

PC (because I refuse to live with the business practice on current gen consoles anymore)

can’t blame you PC master race, and also EA,activison, ubisoft all suck

I wouldn’t really mind consoles, but the business practice placed on them (like, why do I have to pay a monthly or yearly fee on top of it unless I only play single player games?) is something I’m not a fan of… unless they changed that. I stopped caring about consoles since the generation when the PS3 came out.

I have my profile public but I can see why a lot of people, especially those playing for a while or made a new account do keep it private. The first thing alot of people do is beeline to your hours on hero. Some key in on your two most palyed and dont consider multiple accounts, QP hours, or if you are a flex and not a one trick main. These people get annoying to deal with because they have tunnel thinking sometimes.

Also there is such a thing as a bad day/game. I played matches before where I felt like I was performing like a gold noob.

This is the reason why most are private. It’s private (actually visible to friends) by default, most players don’t realize that, and they can’t tell because it’s visible to them and their friends.
