Because Blizzard refuses to fix that issue, we should not be punished for their ineptitude.
I think instead of leaving, they should implement a similar system as there is in like rocket league, where you can vote to concede the game
I will never understand why people place the blame for stomps on Blizz instead of the people they’re playing with.
The MM doesn’t make folks play terribly. They do that all on their own.
Just think about that sentence for a second…
Do the bronze players who get paired up with plat/diamond players actually choose for the matchmaking to fail so miserably? Like… What is your train of thought brother, enlighten me, please!
And so they should be matched with other terrible players, against other terrible players.
The players don’t have any control over matchmaking dude
No player-accountability, just blame the MM. Classic forum blame-the-game-not-the-player bs.
The matchmaker has no control over how the players play. Dude.
Your frame of reference in this is backwards.
Perhaps play comp, where the mm actually does its job in tighter skill groups?
Or realize the gap in skill between metal ranks isnt actually that large. And if you were good enough you can carry metal ranks. Plenty of folks arent, thats pretty hard to do. If it was easy, this wouldnt be a team game.
Its just strange to me that folks cant seem to use their logic in placing blame. Bad teammate = bad mm …? No, bad teammate = bad teammate
It literally is made to get balanced matches. If you get a massive stomp, it is because of the failure to get two balanced teams against eachoter.
Sure. Players have no control over the outcome of the game theyre playing. Games are just another computer algorithm playing itself out.
Bro. Both of these things are true. This arguement is pointless coz it is what it is XD
Many people tend to give up so fast it would make the game unplayable. I always stay till the end of the game and I see a lot of wins, after we got stomped first and had a leaver. (Usualy leaver is also the problem).
No we do not, and matches like that are just terrible for everyone. Yes there are some players who enjoy it for the ez game.
I mean… They literally don’t if one team is significantly better than the other.
I suppose you think a team of bronzes could square up and beat a team of diamonds if they “decide not to be a bad player”?
Torb and Illari players are like this yes.
Again, enlighten me!
Actually wrong again. Gold has the most players does it not? So it’s easy to work out that the difference between the bottom and top of gold will be dramatically larger than the bottom/top of GM.
The skillset in metal ranks is so varied. Sone people have game sense and lack mechanical skill. Others have it the other way around. The matches feel more unfair because of this. The matchmaker literally CAN’T consider all of the variables. It can’t detect “off days”, it can’t detect if a player has a sprained wrist, it can’t detect if a player is drunk. Etc etc.
Matchmaking will never be perfect, and neither will players. But from my experience, and the experience of many others too by the sounds of it, there are too many stomps. If a stomp takes place, the teams are very clearly mismatch.
I do not know what else to say to you, so I’ll say good day sir.
You talk more about leaving matches then you do about playing them. Game might not be for you
I think we found the newest alt of everyone’s fav matchmaker defender, not going to name names but we all know who I’m talking about, the guy who hasn’t been around in a while
I agree like one billion percent.
No, I don’t, otherwise how does Blizzard figure out your MMR? Also, perseverance and determination is also part of the game – otherwise we just let 10th or 11th placers in sports to just quit mid-game.
going by the system’s numbers the balance could be considered perfect. but if one person plays the wrong hero and won’t switch you could lose easily
Yeah what we need is just a surrendering. How people play or how MM works doesn’t matter. When the error occurs then we better have a quick fix.
