Just because youtubers are saying he’ll be overpowered in 2-2-2, and it’s like, even though 2-2-2 isn’t out - people in all of my games are screaming that he’s over-powered and it’s bizarre.
As an Ana player I just see this guy whose passive is usless because of Bio-nade and all of his slow-moving, super telegraphed abilities and large hit box and the fact that he has to get right on top of me… make him one of the easiest characters in the game to sleep dart???
It’s not even a YouTube thing. He’s legitimately strong. He’s strong in the owl and is a top pick of the lower half of the latter where the majority of players are

One youtuber / pro says something, or they see something in OWL, and they start echoing it. Regardless of the relevance it has on their own games.
Don’t need a youtuber to see that reaper is a bit OP. At least in gold he is dominant. A reduction of his life leech would be good especially considering it was buffed to kill GOAT.
I kind of disliked Reaper always, but thankfully not allot of players picked it, unless i was popping off on Winston or other main tank. But if he will be a good pick in the 2/2/2. I doubt it will be fun to “tank”
I’m totally not buying that reaper is OP ANYWHERE. Not even in OWL. In OWL they are however most often just trying to reduce variance to a minimum so they play comps that most reliably do what they are supposed to do. Even in OWL I think they have had more success running mei+hanzo instead of mei+reaper.
Reaper is still too short range. In live servers low ranks are going to get owned by flank reaper not because its reaper, but because they got flanked and lack game sense.
Anyone who has played Reaper a fair bit will know, hes strong up close, If mcree saves his stun or ana sleep then hes easily shut down, the issue is people don’t focus a flanker (not just reaper). In the Overwatch Leage he is strong due to the meta, take orisa and mei out and he goes too. If he gets nerfed he will get replaced in the meta and the rest will stay, that is the difference.
Haven’t people been saying he is OP since he got the lifesteal buff?
And even after it was nerfed some?
LIfe steal is too strong now, if his wraith can’t cleanse anti heal we can argue about it. But currently he’s just too good, It’s not a new thing though, a minority of ppl in forums has been asking nerfs for his life stealth for a long while but gets neglected because he only gets picked in low ranks. It just becomes popular cuz OWL shows how strong it can be now.
