Everyone is cheating in upper ranks. OW2 will be the same

This game has created a huge 3rd party cheating market. Cheat resellers are cashing in $200 a month for 40k people by blizzards numbers. That’s just 1 of many cheats that Blizzard detected.

The entire upper rank up this game is cheaters. It’s a dirty little secret that all the cheaters know, and the pure tanks and healers have no idea about. FEW GOOD DPS PLAYERS ARE LEFT.

This massive cheat community is not going away and they will migrate to OW2. If you have been mid rank or higher they are in every game, you may have no idea. They look natural which is why they cost $200 a month and have 20k+ subs. Because YOU GET AWAY WITH CHEATING if you don’t ragehack. This community is blind to it and there is no hard detection.

If you are lower rank and see a “smurf”, 99% chance that is a cheater and not a smurf. Few good players are replaying this game. A handful of streamers are not impacting this game getting to GM on streams, no, it’s cheaters, normal players who get stuck then buy a cheat license for a little while, then you guys think they are a “smurf”.

OW2 will be dead if this cheat momentum is not stopped. Once more people understand how common it is to cheat, they will lose the drive to play. I have never seen a AAA game getting destroyed by cheats as much as Overwatch while at the same time the community is completely blind to it. It’s crazy land!

Can you provide evidence for these claims?

They do not really care about the “upper ranks.” So its all good in the hood.

How bored do you have to be to cheat in an useless online game.

Part of the reason that cheaters are so prominent is largely due to how old the game is now, I highly doubt cheaters will be so prominent straight away

Because most people claim someone is a cheater without evidence, like you’re doing essentially, while the forums make it difficult to do so, reddit is a good place to go if you do have evidence of this

Naw, this dude is going to role in with 8 posts to his name, make these claims, then bounce.

Cheating is a FAR bigger problem in games like CoD and Apex than it ever was (and still is) in OW. It’s well documented by streamers actually playing the games.

COD warzone for sure or any battle royale game that is popular. one of the reasons i lost my love for battle royales when i played pubg. when it first released it was an awesome experience for me since it was new and i never played a battle royale before.

pubg wasnt the first battle royale i think it was h1z1 or something before that? it did become infested with cheaters eventually and i remember even being teamed with them and geting chicken dinners. i havnt played the game in a LONG time, i know there are bots now but i bet its still infested with cheaters? maybe

Honestly, them being Battle Royales is irrelevant – the sad truth is the more popular the game, the more people will buy cheats for it.

Cheats are not 100% preventable, they are a constant battle just like any virus.

To the topic, this guy claiming everyone is cheating in OW obviously doesn’t add up.

yea i wouldnt make the claim since you can never really prove it. only way to prove things is maybe a replay code that shows obvious signs or tournaments that are overlooked or have referees

Totally – I mean you can submit a replay code with a cheater. I don’t doubt that. But when you see hyperbole like this:

Time to move on.

It got infested with Chinese cheaters, to the point that people flat out refuses to play it until the devs do something about it.

So the devs put a region lock on PUBG China.

there is software that checks if there is streamer in match xD
some people using it to streamsnipe… some to know when to disable thier cheats

Cheating is just as common if not worse in Overwatch… the nature of the cheats is the difference.

They are meant to look natural. And most players can’t spot the difference between a cheater and a good player. I have a RL friend who has been cheating in Overwatch since 2018 moving from the rare and dead hack called Paragon to the most common one now (censored).

You can freely cheat and get applauded by this community.

wait how would that work? if the cheat is using ingame code how does it know a player is streaming? does overwatch know what we are doing behind the scenes in their base code :face_with_monocle:

As many others have asked, do you actually have ANYTHING to back this?

It’s not what I’m observing.

Yes, my entire playstyle that I had to create to keep playing this game in it’s current state is anti-cheat. I can make cheaters look stupid. I don’t complain cause I can’t win, I win at a slower rate and I’m not even mad at that, IM SICK OF PLAYING THE SAME PLAYER EVERY GAME. Every cheater is the same playstyle, same AI.

The cheats work on a movement prediction and randomizer to look natural. They will not hit a fast moving target unless they up the cheats speed, which makes it blatant and a ragehack and even noobs will report them.

I abuse a small window in the aimbots tracking speed by strafing a frequency. At close range it’s a tighter fast strafe, and at longer range the strafe is more steps. Strafing is left/right only with no offbeats to trick players because you are not playing vs players, only bots.

I’ve been playing FPS games a long time and dumb down my defense strategy to doing this every single game instead of outsmarting players with movement, I just counter bots instead.

It’s hard to prove without showing the cheat, which would just get the video pulled from everywhere. Imagine your reticle is a big circle that you can adjust the size of, anything inside that reticle will be tracked while holding down your trigger button for your skill.

When a soldier holds down fire and I’m in that circle, the bot will pull from it’s position to target me and then start tracking my movements at a small delay. The movements will match my strafe perfectly, but will be just a fraction out of sync allowing me room to kill them. It’s not super easy, but it’s the only way I found to continue playing the game.

I started making a clip montage of it, but I lost interest cause I’m not that into gaming or gamer fanbases. I always quit this game for months and years off and on. I know it seems weird from a post like this… but I don’t care like you guys do. I just hate cheats and I’m amazed at how common they are and how unaware people are.

Also, I’m in the discords of 3 major cheats. Why? Well like I said my friend is deep in the world and invited me cause I find it interesting. So every once in awhile I will open up the rooms and see whats happening… for years. I’ve watched these cheats explode in numbers. If you look at Blizzards official posts about banning 20k per month, those are hard numbers for detecting only one cheat… the numbers are there to see.

Cheaters have pushed every good player out of upper ranks except for a handful of super elite players who are in their own little world. The pool from mid ranks to GM you will encounter 2-6 people using bots. Every DPS, HOG, DOOM, Gengi, Ana… they benefit every player even tanks.

A big draw and part of the addiction cycle for this game is the appearance of competition. If more people understood what the game actually is, they wouldn’t be grinding. Which would probably benefit them anyway. I just wish people understood what this game really is. It’s just a fun arcade shooter that is full of cheats and high rank is meaningless, quit ruining the experience for everyone else and stop acting like I’m a bad person for telling the truth.

If there is one, it was probably used in Titanfall where hackers would purposely target well-known streamers/content creators to just DDOS them whenever they play.

And also affect those that play with or in the same lobby as them.

Cheats exist in pretty much all online games.

Dunno why Overwatch is somehow unacceptably different.

Because they have destroyed the ranked ladder and ruin the experience for many players even in qp and arcade.

Because in Overwatch you can cheat and get commended by everyone instead of reported.

Because if you call out a cheater in Overwatch you get banned instead of the cheater.

Cheating has impacted this game so severely and so many are clueless. And this problem will carry over to OW2 so they better have something planned.

Cheating is bad. Yes.
But why is it worse than a game like CS:GO or Valorant?
