It actually refers to when a team fails to get on the objective/leaves the objective when it was unnecessary, consequently resulting in a loss.

My roommate is always like “someone get on the point” when it’s 1v6 and everyone is 2 feet out of the spawn door. Like yeah, we’re just going to watch an episode of Friends while we wait for you all to get back here.

Of my last-ditch jumps on the payload it has ended up securing a win exactly twice. I don’t know how many attempts, but it’s gotta be many hundreds. Both were as Dva, and one was a magical moment when they all missed baby Dva and I scored all crits, taking out 2 squishes before getting back in mech and nuking on the truck to make them scatter because they weren’t expecting it and it WASN’T EVEN POTG BECAUSE JUNKRAT TIRE LATER ON.

Yeah, people always say “C9” at the end of matches when they clearly don’t even know what C9 meant in the first place… Perhaps a lot of people are just saying it constantly as a joke to try and trigger the people that do know the origins of “C9” lul.

I thought I was the only one that’s bothered by this lol.
The amount of time the enemy spammed C9 in chat because one of us didn’t reach the point or was body blocked…like I y’all wanna use a gaming term, please use it right. Not getting there in time, dying right before or being body blocked is not that that is :roll_eyes:

I think it’s more than half. An actual c9 is so incredibly rare that almost all of the time anyone ever says it, it’s not even applicable.

(for those wondering: It’s only possible on payload maps. It’s only possible in overtime. And when the team that is pushing payload in overtime uncontested, all move off the payload to run after an enemy (that was not even contesting), causing the overtime to run out and result in a loss.)
