Rules:

The TF2 Mercs can switch out their weapons and gear in spawn whenever they want.

The TF2 mercs start out with everything fully upgraded.

Both sides follow the rules and logic of their respective games. So tf2 mercs take fall damage but the Overwatch heroes don’t.

In the case where ammo packs aren’t available such as in overwatch maps, health packs also restore ammo with small packs being worth a medium ammo pack and a large hp pack being worth a large ammo pack.

Round 1) Kings Row

The Overwatch team must stop the TF2 mercs from pushing the payload

Round 2) Badwater.

Same as above but now on badwater and it’s the TF2 mercs who are on defense.

Sniper quick scopes the enemy, making them all blow up.

I don’t want to know what demo would do

Overwatch might win a few though through sheer numbers and synergy.

Reinhardt would get backstabbed so many times…

I feel the tf2 mercs have too much tankiness and damage behind them for the OW heroes to win.

To give an example. It would take widowmaker 5 fully charged body or headshots to kill a scout and considering scout is also moving incredibly fast and has passive health regeneration than he’s going to be incredibly tanky.

Than there’s his DPS which can range anywhere from 159 at long range to 549 at point blank. Even when you take into account armour, scout can quickly kill pretty much any hero in the game if he got close enough and can quickly speed out.

Oh yeah, scout can also move at 38 km/h. Meanwhile most of the overwatch cast moves at 19.8 km/h, that’s nearly twice as fast. Pre-nerf Lucio could move at 33.6 km/h at most so you got an incredibly tanky, fast and powerful class and that’s just one of them.

Dude MvM upgrades are flat out broken (you’ve also got to take it up against ridiculous armies of robots with 1000s of health). They all have passive health regen + health on kills, like 300% increased total health, sentry turret is basically unkillable and every hero probably has anywhere in the 200-300 dps as a minimum.

Ever played ghost town with every upgrade unlocked from the start? It’s a cakewalk.

This comparison is as fair as proposing a death battle between Thanos and Forrest Gump…

Mercs win. Full MvM upgrades is just way too much for the OW team to handle.

Can you backstab Rein without getting burnt in the face by the constantly hot exhaust port on the back?

Rocket jumping Soldier would destroy nearly all OW characters easily. Pyro m1 beats out Mei m1 easily. Medic Uber charge a heavy and you have a mobile Bastion turret destroying everyone.

I mean if we’re going by just pure gameplay then it wouldn’t really matter.
