Every game is a tank diff

This isnt even funny anymore, tanks matchamaker is so unbalanced that i past few days i didnt had an even game. Either we stomped enemies or enemies stomped us. Balance of tank matchmaker is crying for help. All you can do is duo with tank friend hoping u wont get low gm tank aganist u in masters.

The game needs two tanks. Was designed for two tanks. They tried one tank in experimental that time, and we said “no, keep two tanks.” But they went with one tank.

And it sucks.

Ruins the game.

What you mean ? You’re seeing Tank dueling ?

Or just a gap between tanks stats at the end of the game ? If supports die, tank will die. If supports don’t die and heal, tanks don’t die. So you should look at whole team stats instead of saying its just about tanks.

Typically when one teams tank understands the role (Take/occupy space) and the others plays it like a DPS, hides when they take a little damage, doesn’t dive or peel, and doesn’t push the objective.

Nah, game is about what team has the most competent soujurn. Although the tank role is quite determinating, soujurn will just make that irrelevant.

Once your tank goes down you’re all wide open you no longer have a backup tank to stagger this is why every game is a tank diff. If 1 DPS or 1 Supp go down they can hold their own (least I can) until the other one gets back. This is never the case with the tank. Once the tank goes down entire team rushes into you and it’s a team kill.

So if you get a game with a noob tank or a thrower tank the game is already lost. That is why 6v6 was crucial. If one goes down the other one can hold their own with the support of their team. 5v5 is just flawed in so many ways but tanking is the biggest flaw.

As a support player Ive had some success hard pocketing the tank when you get the dud. I won a match with a Doomfist vs Orisa just because I didn’t ever let him die (21k heals in 8mins). Yes I had to ignore the rest of my team, but like you say if there’s a tank diff then there’s not much they’re going to be able to do anyway.

Interesting, its just rng mess.

For me every game is dps diff, iam having twice damage as the other dps while enemy dps are around same dmg and value… And tanks are doing ok, just the second dps is way too useless.

Im Moira/Bap player so 85% of the time im behind my tank and I see everything. Im always trying to use my resources making sure my tanks dont die and let my kiriko/mercy/zen player heal the dps most of the time. The problem is, no matter how hard im trying to keep most of my tanks alive they indeed dont die but they dont do any kills as well. Its like pocketing a bronze widowmaker, ofc she will survive but she wont kill anything as well. Its hella flustrating. Meanwhile enemy tank just walks on us :frowning: And im not saying its MY tank fault every game but 95% of matches is tank diff, 4% dps diff and 1% support diff cuz supports doesnt matter that much.
