Every game i play is SUP diff

you either get sups who want to heal or not. You either get sups who pick a decent heal combo or not. giving sups extreme survivability and escapes, promote flank plays. players think their kill matter but seconds later their tank died and they are like “i did my job i also killed one”. Giving sups more damage means they play as dps while other suffer from the lack of heals. Yes, sups with decent damage are more fun to play but if the player cant handle the balance between heal and dps he holds his team hostage as they cannot -under role lock- do something for the lack of healing.
almost all of my games, tank or dps, come down to one thing. do i have a (bad) dps healer who will let me and others die in front of him? Will i get the moira who only uses damage orb? Will i get illary who will place the pyllon for her only and snipe enemy dps? Will i get the reddit lucio? Will i get a “jump and shoot all day” bap?
Ow2 is not more about personal performance since sups hold so much power and if they dont use it correctly you cant do anything to save the game. I pray to get mercy every game, at least they try their best to keep everyone alive. The worst is when i have ana. its borderline impossible to get heals out of her. best they can do is 50% of mercy, lw or moira. Thats why ana, a really strong hero, cannot be nerfed. players keep using her wrong and her WR is low. Even the fact that healing gives way more ult charge than damage is not enough to make them heal. idk how you fix this but im sure you promoted this type of play. admittedly its working many times but most of these games where bad matchmaking leading to stomp anyway.

Much of the playerbase wanted supports to contribute more actively to a team fight and not just hide behind blue rectangles being ‘healbots’

Not realising that for this to be viable with one less tank, the supports would have to be made deadlier.

Meh. I think getting double healbot is a far worse experience then double DPS support. At least I can go someone that requires less sustaining like Sigma (as tank) or S76 (as DPS) if we have two DPS supports. If we have two healbots then the rest of us have to work overtime to make any headway.

People complained about supports being too easy to play. Well, requiring supports to strike a proper balance between damage and healing is how to make them harder.

I can’t decide if the op is right or is one of those heal junkies who wrongly think that we just win by overheal.

That disturbing.

that is also true. mercy+lw=lose. thats why i said a decent combo.
but i still prefer double healbots than a dps healer who will absolutely forget we cannot self heal (at least most of us). I also have to play s76 and this is why s76 is popular atm. more and more selfheal heroes will rise. mei, hog, orisa (fortify is almost as good as self heal bcs you give time to your sups to wake up and actually heal you eventually).

I find Sigma to work better than Orisa myself. Generally speaking, I find it easier to keep myself alive having blue HP plus a barrier than having orange HP plus a damage reduction ability.

I wish Ram had a good chunk of blue HP for those games where I end up with an Anamaker on my team. There are times when I wish all white HP on tanks was turned into blue HP, honestly.

Ppl seems to blame tanks for loses but the reality is, whoever has their supports healing the tank better wins.

For me it’s DPS diff 90% of the games.

yep. my sups with 5 deaths are like “you are bad tank, you have 10 deaths”. i jump in the enemy team, i get 5 stuns, antinade, damage etc and my sups are an ana shooting their tank and moira dueling a genji for no reason.

Lifeweaver mercy has quickly become one of my favorite comps, then again I actually use my gun LUL.

Just went 3 games in a row where every single one was dps diff lol. Cant kill anything, requires heals 24/7 or they drop dead in half a sec. Even if you tried to give them healing they die to headshots.

CoD strategy: run in a straight line, shoot the first thing you see, hope to kill before being killed.

i.e. 90% of players of this game.

Everyone knows the real problem for solo tanking is anti-heal

You’re probably one of the dps that has 4k dmg in 12 mins while their supports are trying their best to carry you, then you type “support diff” in game then rage quit and come type some completely delusional stuff on the forums.

Just a guess.

yeah thats me. what gave me away?

Post quality and dps quality matched.

That’s nonsense.

It sounds like you want to play with healbots.

Support has to do more than just healen , then you win

So do you really think it’s clever to jump into 5 people who have Stun and anti nade? And then you actually complain about your supps? That’s a joke.

Like what?
Healbots wins game. You have 2 dps and a tank to do the damage.

If they are gold. it is likely the later. That is all people understand in gold. Heal stats.

The only way to climb out of gold is to out heal bot. You can try our dmg it… which might work from time to time, but the enemy will have 2 heal bots, so you’ll never do enough in the long run.

Overall healing needs nerfing. But if you do, bad supports will just heal bot even more.

They need to find a way to discourage/prevent heal botting and or hard pockets.

As I was saying… negative reinforcement has screwed players.

It is sad that this is true. And immediately shows that “healing” is broken.
