Every win I get, I’m being carried by a cheater. Every loss I get, I’m getting farmed by a cheater. Why can’t I get matches with players of my own skill level that aren’t cheating? It’s to the point that I think I only have a 10% chance to get a match with no cheater on either team. You can 1000% feel the difference, because the match will be super close and back and forth, where you don’t now who’s going to win until the final play is made. But my last 15 matches have been so one sided that it’s actually insane and extremely demotivating. The wins feel impossible to lose, and the losses feel impossible to win. It’s a rampant infestation. Will things ever change? It’s probably the same 5000 cheaters on 50 different accounts making the rest of the playerbase feel like they are less than. The mental toll that innocent players take at the hands of cheaters should be punishable by law. One day, cheating will mean jail time.

I play mostly in diamond these days (occasionally dip into master). I’ve seen 1 actual cheater in the last 3/4 seasons

Such is the reality of this game right now. Without exaggeration, around 30–50% of the playerbase cheats, and the higher the rank, the higher the concentration of cheaters. Since so many legit players already left because of the cheater infestation and garbage matchmaking, cheaters became much more common in proportion.
The absolute majority of games are just aimbot diffs. Games without cheaters are basically nonexistent. Nearly every match plays the same - you have to play super carefully, you can barely flank or make risky plays because everyone has walls and auto‑abilities. To win, you either have to tunnel enemy cheaters or enable your friendly cheaters so they can take out the enemy cheaters. Total clown fiesta of a game. 
They don’t care about banning cheaters; it’s easier to delete topics and silence anyone who talks about them.
They ban cheaters all the time.
And topics that are removed are removed for very obvious reasons.
It’s certainly there are far less cheater than it used to be. But reducing it to zero is impossible. A bear knows the forest as well as a hunter knows the hunt.
3-4 SEASONS AGO I got lots of sus AF people in my games, this current season i have maybe seems 2 out of 200 games, which is pretty good
im mostly in diamond and about to touch masters again tho and 6v6 has been great until today and 5v5 is kinda just a 1 sided stomp fest.

Sounds like they aren’t interested in 6v6 at all.
At first I thought you’re exaggerating. I did some research and found 14 cheat providers in like an hour. That’s pretty crazy how far developed this is and how natural you can make aimbots look (some provide demo videos).
That doesn’t mean 40% are using it but there is supply and demand.
Those are just the public facing “private hacks”, and mainly the ones targeted at English speakers. Theres many more actual private hacks, unlisted, and many many more targeted at non-English speakers. In fact, from what I’ve seen monitoring the hacking forums, many are largly transitioning to DMA hacks, these being external hacks, either ran through another PC entirely or through an arduino, and so far these have been able to bypass kernel level anticheats like Battlefield 6.
That’s interesting, I only searched on the surface level.
Seems like a lot of work and money for a little benefit in a video game. Are they using this as a status symbol now? I can imagine that.
It’s definitely a motivation to focus on my Steam library for now, which is in line with my New Year’s resolution.
