I’m sure there aren’t many people as weird as me who would go out of their way to go through their own post history, but maybe you just happened to come across some old thread you posted in (likely because it got necro’d or something). Do you feel like you’ve changed your tone, or maybe changed your opinion entirely on some subjects?
Personally, I cringe very hard when looking at my older posts. Not because my opinions have changed since, although a few have, but mainly because I used to be just the absolute worst toxic pos and it really comes across in those older posts. Honestly I owe big thanks to the people who kept interacting with me despite that and inspired me to try to change and become less of a pos, hope I haven’t totally disappointed y’all

I’ve revisited some of my older posts talking about how I wished Overwatch was available on different platforms and it’s amazing to see how many more platforms the game is available on nowadays!
Now we can even play the game on a Nintendo Switch/Switch 2 at full 60 FPS?!
It’s also great to see the game available on more cloud platforms!
Technology is amazing!
Sometimes I also look back at features I requested and it’s always fun seeing how some of them actually came to fruition like FOV slider and mouse and keyboard support for console players!

I always cringe, but I never change. It is a hopeless cycle. I could, perhaps, think twice about this post right now so if you bring it up in a year or two, I can stand proud and confident. But instead I will opt to embarrass myself.

I don’t re-read my posts. No looking back, Touster. No, after each post I put on my shades and walk away from the explosion.
I do change my mind, though. For example, when the subrole passives came out, I thought that the tank initiator (or whatever it’s called) one that heals instead of granting crit or boop reduction was going to suck compared to the other two, but it hasn’t really turned out that way at all. To the point that Hazard was doing kinda badly right up until they moved him over to initiator and bang, huge jump in the ol’ win stat. Go figure.

One thing I was wrong about was thinking Anran was a good addition to the game lool, playing against that has made me hate her the turbo int E with overshield on ultimate
she did get buffed 15x though so eh
Hm… I haven’t, but I’d almost certainly find most of it cringey and distasteful.
I used to be a lot more combative for no reason at all. Over time, I’ve definitely improved at accepting mistakes when someone calls me out or back tracking if someone shows me the error of my ways.
I definitely was not like that when this game first came out and I started posting here 
Geeze, now that I’m thinking about it, I was almost an entirely different person when this game came out which I suppose is a good thing. It’d be worrisome if I hadn’t changed

I don’t look back. Every now and then I do get a reply to a very old comment. I’ll go back. Check its spelling, sometimes I’ll backtrack and read the rest and measure out how things went. Most of my posts have a tendency to either be cleaning someone’s teeth out or taking care of someone who’s having a rough one. Some of them are onesided with some people melting down simply because I didn’t agree with them. It reminds me of how unhealthy people are these days.

It would take me too long to read through all of them. But my ideas about the game and its balance and heroes in general doesn’t change very often. Not without some serious balance changes that only serve the purpose of shaking up the current meta.
Like Illari. She was mostly fine as a support before the recent buffs. Even now, she doesn’t see as much gameplay as she probably should – and its always been like that for her. Her biggest problem was that people think there are other, more valuable supports worth playing over Illari. It was never because Illari was a terrible support. On average, she is actually better than Zen.
The issue with Illari has always been her lack of utility compared to supports like Ana, Kiriko, Lifeweaver and Mercy.

im still a BIG defender of widowmaker and sombra, will always defend ashe… even tho all these heroes are defined as obnoxious. all heroes are but i can see why my favorites would be
it does seem like most posters stick to THIER heroes
if i have changed its the role format. i use to love open queue and the old style of the game but i have grown so use to 5v5 and how it is now. i remember the devs bringing back old classic overwatch for a time and i was like … WE PLAYED THIS WAY!??

Illari was literally useless, that’s how you get value on the hero is by fragging, she needs her damage, like you said she lacks utility
And yet her damage was fine before. She doesn’t need to play like Ashe and two tap people.
She does, that’s her whole design. Before season 9 hp changes she could 2 tap what are now 250hp
Why would you ever pick her over Ana, Kiriko, Zen, even Juno now that she can crit. Their utility is busted
You pick her for the burst healing and range she can provide in her kit. Zen doesn’t compare to the damage and healing that Illari can output by herself. Only supports like Ana and Kiriko are slightly better, simply because of their utility. Being able to crit is a bonus for heroes like Juno who are, on average, worse than Illari but have better utility with speed or other benefits. Ana being able to crit at all is an injustice to hero balance.
I read, re-read, edit, and adjust (& post posting re-edit) my submissions like 6x before I post them when they’re longer than a sentence or two.
I do re-read sometimes, if a topic is long or to respond to something that was necroed. Sometimes I will re-read to calibrate my opinions now to what I thought previously, and I usually agree with my past self. I try and take accountability if I’m wrong, though. I also go through what I would assume is more effort than most to try and not be wrong in the first place.
If some people go out of their way to make sure and earn The Snark (which happens on this forum more than nearly anywhere else), I usually enjoy re-reading how I responded to their unabashed stupidity.
