You know the drill, post your jams right now.
I’ll start with Big Empty by Stone Temple Pilots

Listening to a ton of old Three Six Mafia, Project Pat
And the whole Pacific Drive soundtrack. Very chill.
From Pacific Drive, a little obsessed with it

I like some variety, so this, then Project Pat, then Disentomb or some brutal death metal or whatever

Man, I remember back in like 7th or 8th grade tongue ring being everywhere, time flies.
“Da Summa” is peak nostalgia
Been on a nostalgia trip these past couple of weeks, especially past couple days. Done myself a 143 song playlist on youtube as well (in time for weekend OW https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbMRh81ch2KnZUs4Wj3HDDhYTfXIChH_i )-it’s pure heaven. What’s been blasting out:
Midlife Crisis - Faith No More
Primus - My Name is Mud
Alice in Chains - Rooster
Pearl Jam - Alive
Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box
Epic - Faith No More
Metallica - Wherever I May Roam
Rollins Band - Low Self Opinion
Biohazard - Tales from the Hard Side
White Zombie - More Human than Human
Offspring - Come Out and Play
Antichrist Superstar - Marilyn Manson
My Girlfriends Girlfriend - Type O Negative
Closer/Wish - Nine Inch Nails
To name but a few lol. God bless 90s rock/metal/grunge
Right there with you, I forgot about Closer by NiN, isn’t that a late 80’s song?
When I heard it very first time way back when I thought so-1994
Ah, could’ve swore I read somewhere it was off their 89 album. My bad lol
Seems the youtube video says copyright 1989? I guess that’s where I’m confused.
I still get confused with some songs, no matter how many times I’ve heard them. Like Faith No More’s Epic-came out in 1989, but I thought it was 90-91. So I cheat on my playlist and use the year I heard it instead lol
That’s fair, I forget at times Soundgarden is technically an 80’s band too.
Very true, along with Pantera. Hard to believe a band that released songs like I’m Broken, Walk, 5 Minutes Alone looked so incredibly glam-the photos do make me grin lol
From glam to WALK ON HOME BOY!
It worked though for them though.
It’s almost as crazy as Bon Scott dying, and AC/DC finding someone who sounds identical.
I really enjoyed Dana-Dan by Bloodywood. It was in Monkey Man, the Indian version of John Wick. The song starts with “I put a fist through the face of a rapisst” which is pretty metal.
Now I wanna’ play Sonic Spinball.
Modern music is rehashed and boring.
I listen to frog and bird noises slowed down and reversed.
Most of what I’ve been listening to recently is far too depressing to share on here, so I’ll just share these 2 absolute gems instead;
I mean, I’ve got into country a little bit with my parent’s health failing and getting older. I get it.
I was into country before I listened to metal. So when I heard Johnny Cash’s version of Nine Inch Nail’s Hurt I had to listen to it and…good. God. It broke me.
I was always into rock/metal and stuff like trance and house over country.
Now I get why it’s popular, some really good lyrics and emotions in there.
