Have the same issue, as battle net support suggested to uninstall and install the game again it is stuck now by downloading not the patch, but the whole game. No overwatch for me anymore I guess. And my internet is perfectly fine, can download in other gaming launchers without any problems, only in blizzard not…

These issues can happen for several different reasons and it would be a good idea to restart the computer and then go through the steps listed here.
If those don’t help, try a clean reinstall of the Blizzard app:

I did all the things you’ve said and it didn’t solve my problem. I’m still having the issue when i try to install Battle.net and it stucks at quarter of the “Updating Blizzard Agent” bar. Please help.

Had the same. Only thing that worked for me was restarting Battle.net a dozen times and patience. After the app restart it often could download a bit and then staled again.
Edit: it’s not your pc. It’s something on your route to their systems or a new version of battle.net.

it isnt on users end.
it took my launcher like 10 minutes to get past it. not a local problem.
you should advise patience instead and escelate the issue internally.

It looks like you are all playing from EU. Would you be able to provide some connection tests to the Blizzard servers so we can see what is happening?
- Download WinMTR
- Unzip the file to your desktop
- Run the WinMTR as Admin
- Type
eu.patch.battle.netin “host”. - Click “Start” and open the game. Let the MTR test run for at least 10 minutes to capture this issue occurring.
- Click “Copy text to clipboard”
- Type two sets of four squiggly lines and then paste the contents of the WinMTR test between:

Same here in UK. Cannot download Battle net client update stuck 0% and all game updates that want to run are stuck fetching indices. Why are we having to tell Blizzard and they act blissful unaware. Left hand doesn’t know what right is doing clearly. Tried on 2 PCs and a mac here and all stuck 0%. All other internet related apps performing blazing fast. Problem is blatantly their end
Have you tried swapping the region in the Blizzard app? We are currently investigating reports for EU players having trouble with the Blizzard app updating. Some players have had luck using this workaround.
Been having the same problem. Been trying out various things for an hour. However, just as I was about the install MTR, the launcher randomly started downloading again.
I’m not happy to mess around with region settings in case that has nasty side effects. Blizzard needs to fix the EU server. My game updates for Overwatch eventually kicked into life but the updating Battle Net client update still problematic. It sprang to life but has been stuck 86% for ages. EDIT, eventually finished after about half hour. My other PC and Mac still stuck 0% when I try them though. There’s some update for Warcraft waiting, I’ll avoid that like the plague at the mo

This is with launching the game through the Overwatch Launcher.exe as the Blizzard app is currently not installed on my system as i tried to reinstall it. This tries to install the Blizzard app.
Initially I tried to reinstall the Blizzard app to fix the COD download issues but now I can’t play Overwatch either.
Like I said in the other topic (now closed) the battle.net log says the installer cant connect to a blizzard IP. But it is none of those above.
Installing the Chinese Blizzard app didnt work either, I even had to force close that one through task manager to get rid of that installer. The english app doesnt update but it does close normally pressing X
I also tried disabling my firewall.

I cant be bothered to paste the whole log and spend 15 min editing out the links.
I did this and actually it solved my problem.
But i wonder, doing this “workaround” can cause some interesting problems on purchasing something or just playing any game?
I guess i’ll spend some time on it and see.

Eventually the Blizzard app installed, stalling several times in different stages of installation, took about 3 hours for total installation.
Initializing installed games took a very long time too, after initialization I can play them no problem.
COD download still stalled giving an error message that it lost connection, changed game region from EU to US (Im in EU). It did download this way, very slow but consistent, will probably let my PC run over night to finish the download.
when i try to install battle.net it starts but it gets stuck on 1%. I’ve tried everything, i can’t play any game i bought so please give me a solution
