I haven’t seen this being talked about, but she is just quitting. Many content creators for Overwatch are dropping this game, and Blizzard really needs to do something about it.

No new content because of OW2.
Queue times are questionable because Tank is not that attractive.
Other problems…
How do you expect them to hold players? With changes (rhetorical question), but those will be put on hold until OW2.
So it’s up to OW2 to hold (the remaining ones that kept playing anyways), bring back old players and try to gather some more new ones.

I think a lot of people will come back for OW2. But the lack of foresight and content map for OW in 2020-2021-2022 is kinda tragic.
I mean, they must have KNOWN that OW2 wouldn’t drop until c.Anniversary 2022. Surely there’s SOMEONE there who could have argued to drop a couple of new heroes in before OW2. They’re going to be in the game anyway, why not get a team to push them to live and give OW1 a shot in the arm?
I guess they’re keeping them back to artificially boost the box value of OW2, which is a very ****** thing to do.

Yeah good luck to her trying to stream any other game. Every single one of these OW streamers will be back streaming OW when only 10 people are watching them play something else. Very few OW streamers have a following beyond the game of OW where they are able to branch out to other games.

I had the misfortune of being stuck in a queue with friends the other day where one of the friends forgot to select their priority pass.
We waited for 8:30 minutes!!! Are you serious??? I mean I knew the problem was bad but I didn’t think it was that bad… and then I talk to one of my top500 friends who says it’s much worse in the upper leagues.
It’s crazy that this is acceptable… you can get in at least one, sometimes two, games in the time you spend waiting to play this game lol. It’s nothing short of ridiculous.

She plays tank and dps to a master’s level. And can play some others when she doesn’t want to play lucio.
But yeah, that sucks. She was one of my favorite content creators.

You can say you dont care personally about it, but when people leave, rather it be streamers or regular players in general prove how much they are tired of overwatch.
The fact blizzard is 100% neglecting actual new stuff for overwatch just for the sake of OW2 is bad. They are putting all betting chips on OW2 for it to help, or bring people back. And thats a big gamble they are doing.

I remember jaine idk if that’s how u spell it but he said variety didn’t work for him cause he enjoyed is even less then he did playing ow. And I’m guessing he also didn’t have as many viewers too

Just saying, how does lack of content affect someone who predominantly plays Lucio in Competitive? I’d argue that a meta where Lucio was somewhat unviable would have probably caused her to lose a lot of interest
Yeah it’s a problem for people who are casuals but for diehard competitive players it’s probably the way they’ve been balancing the game that’s the issue, at least for me it has been

Once new content is released and their revenue zombies start bleating for them to do it, they’ll be back.
She is just playing another game for a while… probably waiting for the balance to get better. It’s completely understandable.

Streamers quit game based off of revenue from their stream.
Right now OW is in a frozen state until Ow2.
With less viewers due to no change in the landscape.”, streamers will go play what’s popular to earn more money.
When OW2 is released streamers that still love OW but left due to income will come back to play what they enjoy while the hype and viewer count is up again.

Pretty wild that they have this game that people love, has a dedicated fanbase and still generates interest years after launch and they’re committed to just letting it rot on the vine. Other developers would kill for that kinda opportunity.

They are investing massive money and time to essentially re-releasing the game.
Only difference it will appease a larger player base with two modes
